Nope, it doesn't. The screeching sound is from the 'safety' metal piece being in contact with the disc brake. The sound actually serve as a warning that it's time to change the brake pads. Failure to do so in time, the pad will be totally wear out and the disc will eventually touch the metal base. High-end cars have warning lights on the odometer.

Just wanna ask you whether they are really good tyres cause the mechanic was saying it is good.

So after checking with friends decided to go for Michelin

Cost me RM 660 for 4 pieces 14inch include valve,balancing,and alignment.

Hello there people. Is it true that Perodua Service Center always uses 5W-30 engine oil for our engine oil? Is this oil good or should I go for 10W-40? Will this increase the FC? I am kinda noob where when it comes to types of engine oil. Is it normal to have "kork" sound when driving through rough surface road, the service center people also can't detect what is the problem. Will gonna go service the car before CNY because got too many kinds of sound when drive through rough and uneven roads. Haiz.....sad to hear my car got so many kinds of sound after the car was only 2 years ++ with mileage 18K++ only.

I normally use the GOLD coloured one which is just RM 10 more expensive than the normal one.

How come yours got so many sounds?

Mine 1 year ,mileage around 31k also no sound at all.

5w30 or 10w30 is the best.

Any higher the car feels sluggish. Kork sound can be stuff in ur boot flying up/sliding (hint: tool bag)

Oh I see. About the sound, it seems like the sound was coming from the front and at the back of the wheel. Normal roads no sound at all. Scare to drive balik kampung if this problem still persist. Anyway thanks for the info regarding about the engine oil.
