errr... i wonder what kind of gearbox myvi is using hah?

the power is there but gear no response leh... the gearbox really play a big role lor

i drive my cousin's car.. powerful n gearbox good.. really a good car
*
The TCU learns according to driver pattern

Last time i used to be a 2k rpm driver.. fuel exp mah.. so step little bit can jalan d

Now with fuel "subsidised by company" and low fuel price summore.. elephant leg.. need to step more before it moves hahahaha

Its using an electronic 4 speed autobox.

U want better acceleration get the tyres pumped up around 240-260kpa + drive without aircon like what we see in US movies nod.gif

#3 it depends on whether u want a practical car or showcar

practical go with 15" and taroh 185 or 195/55/15 tyres.. quite alot of choices lor.. GY F1.. mich PP2.. falken 912/ST115 if u can still find them laugh.gif

cos 16.17 on myvi would result in either 45/40 profiles.. manyak mahal d tyre.. dun end up compromising ur life with 17" and cheapo sime tyres, this country got awesome rainfall wan laugh.gif

QUOTE(cupz @ Dec 16 2008, 10:40 AM)
Does the brand matter?

Like PIAA, SWV, ZS?

I heard from a friend that silicone wipers are prone to theft.
Better to get one that comes in black.
*
get the bosch wipers lah.. the normal ones.. good for a year as long as u rajin2 angkat wiper
cos pressure + heat will damage the wiper.. u reduce the pressure then its ok wan

hi, i'm goin to bring my myvi for alignment tomorrow. I wondering if we must change the alignment bolt/chamber nut for front wheels todo alignment like kancil?
*
no need to change anything eg. camber nuts no matter whether the world is coming to an end or watever crap they say

insist on alignment=toe in adjustments only

kalau tak boleh tak apa
theres plenty of other shops around

PS. you want cun alignment go cari cheeann's shop @ old klang road

as in change the HU to a pioneer one?
yup possible.. but the good thing about this crappy HU is tat it has low demand in black market due to its weird looks and button size laugh.gif
compared to a better HU tat 1 need to worry about keeping faceplate etc.

well.. drive around 3-4k rpm on highway on normal petrol also can clean the engine nicely

vpower in my experience not worth it either for slow/fast driving. the cost per km is always higher than normal petrol.

u guys havent answer me leh... myvi 1.3 auto 1st gen enough power to climb up genting? and also will the breaks wear off when i go down?
*
Enough to follow merc C180 uphill. But stock NCT5 is hopeless in corner. Nearly lost grip when at one corner laugh.gif so just tekan on straights ya.

Brakes are OK as long as u promise to use them ONLY WHEN U SEE HUMPS and use engine braking on 2 all the way down. Brake + downshift to L when there are humps, then push back to "2" and repeat process, guarantee can work wan.

Hi guys my car finally pass 5000km, going to service tomorrow or day after at P2 SC. laugh.gif  But I want to ask what do I need to service? Shall I just follow their recommendation or shall I tell them what I want? wink.gif  BTW, my battery seems to have corrosion on the position terminal there, is it claimable or just ask them to clean it? hmm.gif
*
That one caused by overfilling. Do the battery water yourself and dun let them do for u will solve the prob.

QUOTE(kampit_ikram @ Jan 15 2009, 10:24 AM)
what is the best sport rim and tyre size for myvi for better driving performance ?...
*
Recommend one size up: 15" using 185 or 195/55/r15.

not too bumpy + tyre still affordable

no point using 17" with 20% used sime tyre

QUOTE(kokifung @ Jan 15 2009, 11:08 PM)
there is no such thing as best rim/tyre..

just upgrade to 15" or 16" only..
if 17" or 18" is only show car.. not practical lor..

15/16" is the best size..
go for 195/215 tyre..  smile.gif
many ppl say 15"rin is the most suitable size.. and 195
not overweight the car thing.. dunno wat..

ppl use 16" rim got problem with 1 thing..
(dun ask me wat is that.. ask master jedi Chee Ann)  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Hey guys I just changed my VIVI SE tyres to Michelin XM1 from stock tyres.

Just wanna ask you whether they are really good tyres cause the mechanic was saying it is good.

So after checking with friends decided to go for Michelin

Cost me RM 660 for 4 pieces 14inch include valve, balancing, and alignment.

Hello there people. Is it true that Perodua Service Center always uses 5W-30 engine oil for our engine oil? Is this oil good or should I go for 10W-40? Will this increase the FC? I am kinda noob where when it comes to types of engine oil. Is it normal to have "kork" sound when driving through rough surface road, the service center people also can't detect what is the problem. Will gonna go service the car before CNY because got too many kinds of sound when drive through rough and uneven roads. Haiz.....sad to hear my car got so many kinds of sound after the car was only 2 years ++ with mileage 18K++ only.  sad.gif
*
5w30 or 10w30 is the best.

Any higher the car feels sluggish. Kork sound can be stuff in ur boot flying up/sliding (hint: tool bag)

QUOTE(kevin23 @ Jan 16 2009, 11:39 PM)
I normally use the GOLD coloured one which is just RM 10 more expensive than the normal one.

How come yours got so many sounds?

Mine 1 year ,mileage around 31k also no sound at all.
*
Hmmm..the gold one also semi oil rite.
