Should I buy wii? I'm very interested to play wii but recently I kept hearing news that Wii 2.0 will coming soon.

Is it true? should I wait or just buy?

No. Not true, I don't think Nintendo is dumb enough to spoil its' own party. They don't even bother to have many SKUs, coz they are selling like mad even with 1 model. If Wii continue to sell like mad for 10 years, i bet Nintendo will happily continue for 10 years.

Remember, it was the success of SEGA MegaDrive that force nintendo to upgrade its' aging NES? Old habit die hard.

DS has been out for years, yet they only did a minor upgrade with DSi. So you would see that old habit Nintendo have, indeed die hard.

Go get your Wii now.

Just imagine if you own Nintendo, and your product Wii is selling like
"mad cows running wild crushing all competitors on the way".
Would you take risk to upgrade your Wii to Wii 2?
Maybe you will do some cosmetic changes like DSL to DSi,
but not something like PS2 to PS3.

Like Yellowpika, The only rumor I hear about Wii is the Wii HD from Engadget. And even then they say that it's not until 2011.

But yah, just a rumor, at first I was a little worked up on whether to buy myself, but then my aunt brought up two good points: 1: It's still 3 years away, and 2: It may turn out to be false, a disappointment (just a Wii with a HDMI port slapped on but still output 480p?) or something completely different.

Plus: The announcement of Animal Crossing: City Folk gave me a very strong reason to get Wii. I was already addicted to DS version
