AFAIK is a locked set most probably from US. Best way to check that I know of is to restore and set up as new. Then see if it works with any SIM card you put in it. If it does work with any SIM card then it is definitely factory unlocked, if not then well you got scammed. ot. Hence, you will be able to use your sim "if" yours is truly unlocked set after a fresh restore from iTunes.

Although all the infos are available in the first page, i will tell you how I differentiate both.

What I did was to check the part number. For instance, MBXXXLL; then directly google for more info. I believe all the parts number are available throughout the net.

is all those iphone 4 sold at Digital Mall or those handphone shops trustable?

as in.. are they same standard as those sold in Machine or Maxis or Digi shops?

i got 2 option of iphone 4 32G
dont know which one better.


1)US set (lock set) have to use gevey sim to unlock
Price: RM1900 + RM90= RM1990

2)Local set (free sim) but lost warranty card and service card consider no warranty too
Price : RM2080

ur situation same as me 7 months ago. just buy the local set~ trust me, iphones are well-built, rarely have malfunction.

get local unlock set so u can update to the latest firmware everytime there is an update

yeah, just get local set bro... don't need to unlock, no need to wary about preserve baseband

definitely go for the local set. price difference not that much.

Don't ever think of LOCK set! It's very very troublesome. Go for local set (free sim)

Add another rm110 and get a brand new maxis set instead (rm2190)

if i using sub line and wanna take for rm100 or 155 plan..possible or not?maxis network

I always find the DiGi site for iPhone confusing... don't know if i'm really saving or not...

As for buying iPhone from regular shops... I don't know man... maybe I'm just one of those people who likes to be able to go back to maxis and scold someone who can't scold me back... if my phone spoils... lol
