Will this work with an AM2 mobo? not AM2+ mind you. I heard somewhere that it will hmm.gif
Its AM2+ and the motherboard must at least support 95W processor, which is inline with AMD low budget motherboards (avoid the 89W ones). However if you want to overclock then you have get much better motherboard. wink.gif

worth it to upgrade for this gem?or is it not a gem at all.highest oc is what?
Depends on the chip... Should be around 3.1GHz to 3.2GHz, if lucky 3.4GHz to 3.5GHz on air cooling. For overclock, just make sure your motherboard is suitable.. those that support 125W to 140W processors. Low budget motherboards which usually support 95W processors are not recommended for overclocking.. wink.gif

can this proc put into geforce 6100 am2?
i was wondering as i'm gonna upgrade and this proc is my choice

i found some people got it work on geforce 6100
You have to check the motherboard compatibility first. The requirements is that the motherboard must support AM2+ processor, uses DDR2 RAM, support for 95W or higher TDP processors, and most probably BIOS update may be required. Check the motherboard manufacturer website for the CPU Support List and BIOS updates. wink.gif

I don't think this motherboard can use X2 7750+, its AM2 only... and looking at its CPU Support List.. this motherboard supports up to 89W processors only. hmm.gif Try your luck anyway... wink.gif

and by theory, this proc can run on ur mobo, since Am2+ proc is backward compatible with Am2 mobo. But u lose some AM2+ features like HT3.0..etc
The motherboard must have AM2+ support to use this processor. doh.gif
