1/8 s, f/2.0, ISO 100.

Friendly visitor. 8 eyes, dunno which way it's looking at.

LX3 focuses on small details better than my own eyes leh... Maybe it's juz coz I'm new to this high-end camera thing.

This kind of spider is harmless? I'm trying to identify the creatures around me rather than trying to kill them. smile.gif

PcHo, what does it look like he was sitting at the driver seat?

Yea I guess so. It the real common type, the kind around the size of a 5 sen coin.

Juz wanna ask, does this look better than the previous one? Adjusted brightness and cropped. If didn't crop the background looks awfully bright.

In my opinion, the photo is a bit underexposed and the focus is a bit soft. It's better to cover the whole spider by using a smaller aperture.

Just my 2 cents. smile.gif

Nice landscape shots~!
I especially liked the color of the sky for #4.
Effect of the polarizer right?

But #2 seems not really good....u PPed the sky izzit?
And it looks noisy for a daylight shot.... sweat.gif

Hrmm... That's the problem. I went wit the biggest aperture coz light was an issue. I was shooting at the kitchen. If I went any smaller I would have to bump up my shutter speed, and wit my shaky hands it would blur out any details. This was the only one that captured significant amount of details out of the 10 or so I took. And I still had to adjust brightness on computer.

I think I found the answer already... Bump up ISO?

Anyway keep them cents coming. I need them.

The first two was done wit the rule of thirds in mind. Was it ok?

Did my angle on foods work? Or was the straight one nicer? Any other ways to better compose food pics?

I took a lot of photos like yours b4 too~!
The problem is not whether u follow the rule, but the photo itself has not much to show.
Trying reading Goldfries's reply in this thread:
