FsN still maintains a very strong CSS team. Though we have nothing to show for because there is nothing to play for now sad.gif

Yes, its all about giving and receiving back, think about what FSN could offer another team, and what you would expect in return, be it sponsorship, a website, everyone needs to get something back in return for what they give you, same applies to sponsors, take in account what FSN has achieved, past achievements and future plans into account before starting an organization, its like running a small business. Any Feedback?

In Malaysia there's 2, Kingsurf and U Cpro

Kingsurf is a international and local DOTA team only correct me if i am wrong but they are sponsored by Razer, its a perfect example of whats achievable.

u Cpro i don't quite know about, they don't have an active website running i think.

Well guys what im suggesting a CGS style type thing, CGS players get payed etc etc and are highly professional, all im suggesting and what im suggesting is totally achievable and possible, all im suggesting is a multi-gaming clan be established, and that team pickup a few teams that are good in different games, not keep 1 lineup for a few games. It would be good for sponsorship and publicity because if these teams are good they would promote the sponsors and clan brand in the different game communities etc, Crash, Slain and Grr definately have the right idea, sponsorship would be really easy for a multi-gaming team, like getting multiple servers from Narakka or something, and Blitzone or a cybercafe for a LAN sponsor etc. Im happy to organise a clan leaders meeting next next week when i return to malaysia, any questions, please feel free.

If this model has been succesful in US, EU and AU, it is possible that it may work in SEA or Asia in fact. But timing and reception by the overall public may take time, after all, asians and caucasians do hav different views/tolerance/culture on gaming.

Meantime, it wouldn't hurt that clans start to establish themselves as a multigaming organisation. At the same time, tournaments that support multi gaming would further support the growth of such org. In a way, i think Death is working towards that direction wif d potential 2009 events.

Cheers.

after reading some of the comments, a multi-gaming clan can work, but getting the people to commit is the problem.

also, to No-Fear, mind sharing how these multi gaming clans are managed, both in players, training and finances?

Hey Mate,

Professional Multi-Gaming Team Tips and Requirements :

1) Marketable and Professional Name & Tag.

-Suitable : Encore, Immunity, Sublime, Pandemic, Fnatic.
-Not Suitable : Sharks With Lasers, SeXer, Eat Sleep Play (no offense is intended).
-Player names : Any player names which are unprofessional are unsuitable such as "d1ugun" should not be used and changed immediately (no offense is intended).

2) Professional Management Roster :

-General Manager.
-Sponsorship Manager.
-Web Manager/ Publicity.
-Team Division Leaders.

3) Respected Teams within Organization :

-Professional and well respected/organized team within the general E-Sport Community.
-Preferably teams which can offer something different and unique to the Organization (eg: former achievements/reputation).
-Teams with 5-7 MEMBERS ONLY (5 Core Team, 2 Reserve) (Your trying to organize and establish a professional Organization not a community) (No Professional Multi-Gaming teams have more than 7 in their active Lineup).
-Players acting professionally within the community not doing anything to compromise the organization.
-A stern and strict managerial perspective within the Organization not tolerating player behavior problems etc etc.

4) Brand Promoting within the community :

-Professional looking website with player/organization information such as sponsors, about us, roster, gallery Section.
-Professional Teams with respect within the community promoting the Organization throughout their different games with player tags.
-Clan T-Shirts/Products branding the organization and sponsors.

5) Sponsorship :

-Generally Professional proposals to Sponsors, explaining the goals and skills of your organization, information, past achievements, offering them a mention on the website, community forums basically branding them in the community using their name in tags eg: (iM intel obez, x5 spach ATi) (Sponsors normally only sponsor 6-7 players each team).
- Giving and Receiving Concept.
-http://team.sublimepcgear.com.au/ that website is a perfect example of a professional website.

6) Training :

-Clan division leaders are normally in charge of training and managing within their own team, their progress within the community and the game being constantly watched over by the General Manager (GM)

7) Finance :

-LAN cafe sponsor's would benefit the LAN based teams by sponsoring T-Shirts and paying for Registration Fees, but generally the more your team is known in the community, finances are normally covered by the Sponsors, generally you could write in a request and they will be reviewed.
-As for a ventrilo and online servers : approaching Narakka or Fragnetics or a server company with a good proposal would be sufficient.

Thats what i have so far, take a look and read through it, tell me what u think.

Yours,
Wei Jiat "jiaat" Sim.

what's:
- Giving and Receiving Concept.

You must give something to your sponsor in order to get something back for example : branding their name on your website, tags, forum, xfire all the small things like these, winning tournaments. and in return they provide mouses or mousepads, or discounts, you MUST give them a reason to SPONSOR you, and THEY tell u what they expect, "what you give is what you get back".
