Anyone successfully play BluRay ripped MKV files in Touch HD?

I am using Core Player, but always just hang there without showing the movie.

This is too much, how can 5xxmhz able to run .MKV?
Why don't you try MKV on any Pentium 4?

i got a question regarding to Touch HD and Omnia..
how is the touch screen for these two models? which 1 is fast response and less laggy?
I can't comment on "laggy", everyone has different feeling/opinion on speed.
To me, Omnia LCD is pretty, the screen is white but not so sensitive (some units hv this problem);
Touch HD's display bit yellowish (I say a bit, not very yellow) but sensitive, I hv no complaint;
Apple iPhone;s "touch" feeling is better, very smooth.

Additional notes:
Omnia's GPS chip better than Touch HD, it can get the signal in less than 3 seconds and no lag while navigation.

QUOTE(hijamir @ Jan 18 2009, 10:02 PM)
hello
yesterday i have chance to fully try out my GPS function on my new HD
This is my findings...

I have expirient using Mapking R12 with my Tytn2 and it is much faster in the term of rerouting if u miss any turn, the accuracy is much better but the graphic is quite "cartoon"... anyway it is quite simple to use and straight forward....

With garmin mobile XT i found that, graphic is cool, many additional information such as speed limit, traffic light and ETA....time...
but it is not that easy to handle in term of finding your destination, etc...
it is slow responding and this can cause u miss some turn since u been passing that turn about 5-10 meters then only in the graphic u will reach there... the speed indicator also slow 10 Kmph...then my speedo meter

anyway i'm not really sure this is due to the sofware or the GPS chip... since i'm comparing my expirient with 2 different device that running with 2 different sofware
anyway i will try to run my HD with mapking and look the different....
*
Good sharing.

- TyTn II very slow to pick up signal once u launch; Touch HD faster.
- MapKing interface is not hires, that's y looks funny on WVGA @ Touch HD
- Agreed, Garmin Mobile XT is lagging by 3-4 seconds; Have u try below GPS registry hack?

Intern GPS Receiver FIX

On some Navigationsoftware (eg. TomTom + Navigon) GPS Chip doesn't work correct. The Software lost the signal every second (singnal - hopping / no sattelites). To fix this, you can change following
(Tested with TomTom 7_450:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/GPSIntermediateDriver/Drivers/GPSOneDevice/PollInterval = 3000
(original 1000)

...I was browsing the htc accessory store and found out that they are selling 2 different data cables, 1 is a mini usb and another is extUSB (11 pin). What is the difference between those two?
The ExtUSB combines mini-USB (with which it is backwards-compatible) with audio input and output.

I just flashed to latest HTC Asia ROM, RUU_BlackStone_hTC_Asia_WWE_StarHub_1.18.723.2_Rad io_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship; I can see the system resource been improved, usually my system resource is about 40-44%, right now dropped to 34-38%.

However, now I more keen on home cooked ROM drool.gif

Is ExtUSB what HTC calls? Or its just another standard USB type that everyone calls it, just like the mini-USB? What is the difference between ExtUSB and EMU (Enhanced Mini USB)?

Does the update include all the previous hotfixes as well? Or the hotfixes are required to be installed after the new ROM upgrade?

Which ROM u r mentioned? All official ROM below 1.19 r require Hot Fixes.

Try to make a habit when inputting phone number, I always keep Country Code + Area Code (Example. +60XXXXXXXXX)

You can try MapKing or Garmin, both are working fine @ Windows Mobile device.
I'm not satisfy with GPS @ Touch HD, always lag for 3-4 seconds shakehead.gif still prefer standalone device.

Try RESCO EXPLORER, it's come with Registry Editor. Highly recommended File Manager App.
