i think u're using the standard free basemap that came with the Garmin Software. U can download Malaysian maps from Malsingmaps and install into your Garmin XT.

I have a question here. I saw mapking release a few version eg. Mapking 2007, Mapking R12 and Mapking ver. 10.xx. Can anybody enlighten me which version of Mapking is the best for Touch HD? I wanna to try it out although i have installed Garmin XT in my HD. Seems like mapking's user interface is more friendly and the maps looks better than Garmin.

Mapking 2007 is the most stable so far

no its not bundled. download ori rom from HTC website or XDA.

After flashing custom rom, to restore

1. flash ori rom
2. flash back ori boot image if required
3. flash ori spl

Hi..I need help..When I apply the screen protector, the dirts trapped inside. Is it possible to remove the screen protector? It looks ugly..Somebody please help. Thanks
*
it is possible. but extremely hard. remove it, and wash it thoroughly under running water.

the hard part is drying it. Dirt from towel would onli make it worse and putting it under the fan would leave water impressions on the screen protector. extremely extremely hard. Not to mention the stage when you're tryingh to dry it you're exposing it to the air, and it would depend how dusty your room is. if you're not the patient kind, get a new screen protector.

what do u want us to say? its YOUR preference of keyboard or without. can u yourself live without a keyboard. please do not make this thread a comparison thread, read the specs, and decide what u want.

Is depend to ur map source.
*
yea the graphics arent that nice cuz its forced VGA.

Not map source. I'm referring to when u're driving slow at 20kmph. Garmin lags = at low speeds, its not accurate. Strangely Mapking the issue isnt so bad at all.

@sweetcow, ah, now i understand what u mean. wish everyone would give clear information like what u did lol.

okay now, go to start > settings > connections > connection set up

See if your operator is NOW under Maxis3G or plain Maxis

Make sure its Maxis 3G. If u changed, wait for the device to configure then it will prompt for soft reset. If its already on Maxis 3G, just to be sure, change it to Maxis. Soft reset. Then change back again to Maxis 3G. just to make sure.

After that, download Advanced Config, under "Data Connections" make sure everything is enabled

finally go to start > settings > Personal Tab > Phone, Band tab. Make sure everything is auto.

That should be enough to make sure everything on your part is settled.

Now, once everything is done, call up Maxis, (123 i believe) and go straight to customer support. Ask them if your number is 3G activated. If its not, tell them to activate. (even if u recall is activated do it again, sometimes they screw up and deactivate it, dun ask me how) This should resolve any issue from their side. Also make sure your sim card is a 3G simcard.

Once all the steps are done, your phone should be able to accept 3G services. If it cant, it probably means at that area the connection for 3G isnt stable and hence it decided to access Edge. Try going into KL or Sunway area lol, should change to H or 3G
