make sure your PC got net connection. just connect the cable, active sync, and your pda can surf also already. make sure u enable internet connection via active sync under active sync options in PC

while if u do it correctly it'll be fine, but the downside is doing it wrongly will give u a bad brick. and some people try to be smart and flash without reading. also, before u flash make sure u have the stock rom and spl or your warranty is gone

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AP SETS . Those are companies importing the sets from overseas and selling it in Malaysia,. They're called overseas sets and actually not allowed. SIS is the ONLY authorised distributer from HTC. u can contact HTC if u do not believe me

@ericyunn, first warning, piracy request

@spaceman, to disable autorun.exe, check under Start Menu > Start up and delete any Garmin exe files there

Also, there will be a Garmin folder in your device, despite installing in storage card. delete that as well. should work fine.

as for installing applications, did u run the installation from the PC during connected, or before. do it doing, and make sure u exit any previous installation window in your PDA first.

@Quinn, if u dont mind the resolution causing some games and apps not to work, and the lack of hard keys meaning several games become uncontrollable, then go for it. HD is more of a music and video viewing device than a gaming device. if gaming is more of a priority, your 838pro actually fares better despite lack of 3D acceleration. cuz u have all the buttons and standard reso makes game running easy and compatible.

@waque, after making sure the T9 for all inputs are ticked as kylinlee said

T9 Settings

Spell Correction Ticked
Word COmpletion in T9 Ticked
Word Completion in ABC Mode Ticked (i dun use this)
Auto-Substitution ticked (i dun use this either)

then go to Start > Settings > Personal Tab > Input > Word Completion TAB , make sure suggest words and enable auto correct is ticked

In a nut shell this is how it works, each input system has its own T9 options, but the Word Completion TAB is sorta like the master control. if word completion isnt on there, word completion in T9 mode wont work for any input

try and see if it works

lol, i havent bothered to flash to 6.5. still got lots of bugs there, wait for the official release and then wait for the cook based on the offcial release would be a better idea. as for word completion, it would depend on which input u use i guess. QWERTY kb i dun use. but if non QWERTY kb i use the T9 Phonepad
