Duttys HD V1.8 XTREME is out, anyone tried that yet?

I saw the download links with postfix "_test", maybe wait a couple of days for it to released as completed ROM?

Which cooked ROM are you using with all the camera issues?

Sorry to hear Dutty is actually leaving the xda forum for good!!!!
At first I was sympathy and fully support the few guys who started the dispute/chaos, because I thought to myself: without Davideuck ROM I still can live with Dutty ROM.

Then!!! They start to blame some other cook (Dutty) for not sharing the rom he has, WTF!?!?!? All the flames are nonsense and I couldn't believe what the fuss is about. Now they're actually making xda the worst place to go, they sound like wanna ask all cooks to discontinue their work as a boycott action.

So general users like me would feel great IMPACT for not getting a decent cooked rom from now onwards (until there is new cook under a different name perhaps). it's not wise to support either side at this critical moment but that's it, prepare to lose half the fun for cooked roms!!

I just started to enjoy rom cooking and was awaiting Davideuck v6 and out of sudden everything was ruined by someone. That someone who accepts the money is to be blamed but why involve other cooks, haiz. Sad week, if you could do me a favor that would be which rom are you recommending thereafter, I only know the best roms so far are by Dutty and Davideuck's unfortunately they will no longer continue their work, afaik.

I go for Davideuck v6 ROM, it's much better but actually I prefer "Touch of HD" v3.3.3 because it's the cleanest ROM I've ever tried, however there is a tiny bug that I can't compromise, so......have to change rom.....sigh.......

I can't install Garmin XT from pc to HD, it was stucked in the end of installation with error "autostart.exe failed", I wouldn't know if it was an issue with the preloaded tweaks by "Touch of HD" rom or what. Other than that, it's a great rom, fast and stable minus all the junks

Now I'm settled with Davideuck's v6 rom but I don't like it's preloaded with older version of CleanRAM (0.8) and ClearTemp (1.0.2), hmm!! If I ever want to upgrade, there would be two versions preserve on my HD (because the preload version would be in the rom and can't be removed/replaced, correct me if I'm mistaken).

Personally I don't like the new manila (V-1_HP or dutty v2), because it's much slower and mostly due to I can't use the background4all hack on this new manila, I have seen reports some 3rd-party programs don't work either....how inconvenient.

What do you think? kylinlee? maesus? daneva?

I bet u'll change back within a day, LoL....juz my wild prediction

Anyway appreciate if u report back how good is it and what bugs are u facing (sure there are bugs as it's still in test phase).

Till then, I will wait for background4all mod or Max theme to be developed for manila v3 before considering a switch

Checked on both links above, nay still some small but critical bugs (for me), so I'll just wait another couple of days till weekend until I flash to new manila, though I can't really wait......

Since you're always facing these problems even after flashing to new roms.
I've seen similar issue/complaint in xda.

What they suggest:
-try to flash to STOCK ROM first (eg. 1.19), then flash to cook rom of your choice again.
-don't install any third-party apps (eg. CEStar)
-check if you're still facing the same prob with new manila.

Tonite I'm going to flash to Touch_of_HD_BS_3.3.4 [Mar2]. Had tried 3.3.3 and the thing I like most of this rom: it's free of any junk or outdated apps minus the official junk by HTC too! So I get to install my own apps on this clean rom. Did I mention it's fast and stable? LoL.

Try HD Tweak there is an option to "WakeUpOnSMS" or something like that, set it to "enabled" (it's disabled by default).

Added on March 4, 2009, 5:58 pmJust want to ask all, are you settled with the BIG flip clock comes with TF3D?? I do not like it so installed Max Blue Theme which reduces the size of flip clock plus a analog clock.

However I wish to go *further* to eliminate the flip clock altogether, leave only the ANALOG CLOCK in the center (sort of like Android's appearance ). Anyone has any idea how to get rid of Flip clock on cook roms??

Yo, I've flashed my HD to Dutty 2.1 Xtreme. It's quite nice and so far no problems found New manila v3 is very cool and the speed of bootup also improved alot.

I've also installed so many mods to this rom because I decided not to change to new rom again so soon (FYI recently I change rom too frequently like everyday 1 new rom lolz). below are the few mods I've installed to make my HD better:

-Max Theme (background4all, analog clock etc.)
-LockMeLite 1.2
-HD Tweak 0.5.4
-CleanRAM 1.0.6
-Touch InCall Screen Tweak - v1.0.4
-sunglobe, ZTA4 (Chinese input/display)
-Modaco Nodata
-etc @@

I'm too excited to show these screenshots, notice that background4all works on all tabs that's why I'm settled with new manila v3, yay!!!

Look in windows\welcome.192.png you can copy this from other rom and replace it in dutty rom, voila! you get back the dull startup screen..lolx

I had changed my startup screen to the liverpool wallpaper same as my background in all tabs. cheers!!

The one thing I like the most in iphone and not on HD is the capacitive touch (body heat), I hate to use stylus to poke the pda coz it really looks like an uncle (no offence, hehe) playing around the pda.....well, business man

personally I don't like to use pouch (too tedious to carry in/out), but the big screen on touch HD really made me think twice and finally I still use a pouch to protect it from being damage by some sharp edge or whatever, duh!



You can either use Google Droid fonts (consists of Chi Simp, Chi Trad, Jap, Kor) and it was supposed to used on Android phones, someone has ported it to Windows mobile.

Pros:
-FREE!! Read-only
-Very compact size compared to other similar font packages
-It's GOOGLE branded, lol

Cons:
-The font is too big.....I tried it and the installation was successful. Chinese words are displayed correctly, the only one thing I don't like is the bigger characters were shown in SMS compose. Maybe someone has better idea?

You can go for sunglobe.cab (FREE!! read only) which is what I'm using now, it supports Chi Simp and Chi Trad (don't know about jap and kor since I don't use it), it's pretty small in size, here goes:

I'm trying Davideuck's WM6.5-v5 but it's quite lag at the moment.
Wondering if HD cannot support WM6.5

no prob....coz now dutty xtreme 2.6 liao, lol....better wait for its rc or next release coz he claimed tat it will probably reach final version the next (major bug fixed)

but now im quite into wm6.5 (minus the lag) coz the interface is nice even without touchflo (i hate touch flo ...big clock etc)

There are 3 versions of wm6.5 now:

davideuck's - v5, am using now (slower updates)
miri's - v5.2 (rapidly working on, might consider trying it next)
maryone's - v1 (new to wm6.5 but worth a try)

I prefer miri's wm6.5 v6.1 XTRALIGHT as it doesn't have any extra 3rd-party apps bundled with it.

There are also miri's standard and premium versions which have additional apps as well as manila v3.

I have not yet tried davideuck's v6.1 but did try its v5 which is very slow that's why I go for miri's xtralight version.

Now my love for wm6.5 over dutty/davideuck/L26...u-name-it wm6.1 roms
