when the previous GPU inventory which i believe is at 80nm is depleted, the next in the line would the the 64nm GPU which i think its just a drop in solution. smaller gpu reduces power consumption/heat and also saves the manufacturing costs.. and perhaps increases the reliability of the notorious RROD. one can identify the '64nm' gpu is by the 12.1amp @12v line or the new 150w power brick. manufacturing date does not guarantee it as MS has different assembly line which some still has not depleted its 80nm GPU inventories before switching to the new 65nm GPU inventories
