I am currently using a 2G iPhone. This morning I've just topup my Maxis prepaid and by midday my credit is almost half vmad.gif It doesn't seems to be right as I've just made one call and a few SMS along the way. Does anyone have any idea on what should I do? Thanks in advance.

It is due to charges by EDGE/GPRS

---

8. Toggle On/Off WiFI, SSH, EDGE and 3G connections.
a) Jailbreak phones use BossPrefs/SBSettings (downlod via Cydia) to toggle on/off connections.
b) Non Jailbreak phones, please enter e.g "nothing","DISABLE", "yourname" in your APN ( Settings, Network, Cellular Data Network, APN) to disable EDGE while 3G connection can be turn off via 3G iPhone settings. [GPRS = "o"] [EDGE = "E"] [3G = "3G"]

---

That is the solution but in case you don't know heads or tails about what that solution is about, you will have to go through all the pinned threads especially the "iPhone for Dummies" thread. Cheers.
