It's all on you really, this is just my point of view since I do only think Razer made good looking peripherals despite of quality.
Furthermore, the V2 does just about right clamping pressure on my head so I won't feel headache after 6 hours of use, while Razer Electra on the other hand are much tighter and I couldn't where more than 2 hours. On the sound quality I'm not sure, it's depends on the sound card I guess. If you choose good looking over quality I guess you already made your choice.

I was thinking like hanging the mic at the side of the headphone, can't know for sure will it work, but meh it's cheap and I'll risk it.

Anyway, was wondering I could just make the hook like a clip and clip it on the side headband since there's a little gap there as seen on this pic.

Pros:

2. Less clamping pressure, thus longer hour of usage
3. Sounds great
4. Best bang for buck

Cons:
1. Warranty
2. Cheap packaging
3. Looks...meh

Plantronix 780? I owned it before and wore it for 16 hours, let just say the plastic quality degrades tremendously after 16 hours usage and the virtual surround are a total BS.
But it's not totally that bad, IMO the mic is "okay", sound quality on games are also "okay", but the clamping pressure is a total NO for me.

I second this, if you really want a mic, just buy a 2 dollar mic from DX, hook it on and you got yourself a high quality gaming headset.
