3g iPhone (Turbo Sim, hardware Unlock)

After upgrading to 2.2 cannot register to network (Maxis, Digi, Celcom)

is there anyway to resolve this problem?

no way can software unlock.....wait for new turbo sim that is compatible with fw 2.2...(if they ever release)

Hate to break it to you but there's no way you can downgrade the baseband as some have manage to downgrade to Fw 2.1 but not the baseband.

You need to get a new hardware unlock simcard that will work v Fw 2.2 and is available online for purchase.

I understand about new turbo sim. But what about those people with hardware unlock?

Those who are using hardware unlock..they are pretty dead. A luxurious 3G iPhone turns to a very expensive iPod Touch...big OUCH!!

They need to send it back to where the got the phone and hope to have a replacement if theres's such thing.

That why everyone here insist of a proper unlock unit and buying a US, UK or even hardware unlock will lead you to a never ending turmoil of solving issues with no service, can't upgrade frimware etc while everyone is getting thier firmware upgrades with no wories on an official unlock sets.

talk about unlocking.... my boss's friend bought a lock iphone 3g in UK.... hope he's not upgrade it yet... if not...
he's going to get a really expensive ipod for xmas!

OK, I am one in 2.2 turbosim with the old baseband.

I did help one of my friend to downgrade from 2.2 to 2.1 but the baseband remained at 02.28.00 so no luck even downgrade back to 2.1.

My source told me 2.2 support new turbosim out. But not stable at the moment.
My advise to those using turbosim on their lock phones-
Use pwnage tool if you want to upgrade to 2.2. It will remain the old 2.1 baseband.
For those upgrade the baseband, on to 2.2 on your locked phones you are virtually out of the possibility of software unlock if available in a near future.
Looks like the software unlock will be based on the old baseband 2.1 and not 2.2.

Correct. Downgrading firmware will never downgrade the baseband after a Fw 2.2 update. Only Pwnagetool(Mac) can retain your baseband while upgrading your firmware to fw 2.2 without a glitch.

Anyway, there's a few sites selling the sims that works v Fw 2.2 and like you said..it's not proven to work well yet.

Read the Interview With A Dev Team Member. They mentioned about the baseband.

wah.. so scared to upgrade.. Even using pwnage.. Many probs appear 1 by 1 after upgrade. So i choose thats better to stick 2.1 fw.

if u r using official unlock........u don't even need to scare...u can use pwnage tool or quickpwn without fear.....

my set is locked to at&t..

ok just encounter some customer with hardware unlock iPhone 3G

if your iPhone has a tiny sticker(some chinese word) at either one of the screw
then 99% they are hardware unlock.(May The Force Be With You)
in 2.1 the 3G access is intermittent
in 2.2 phone indicate no service

price are cheaper then unlock set

3g software unlock is now possible...

Just make sure you have not upgrade the baseband
