As much as I would like to say great discussion, but I fail to see the point of this for the past 7 pages. Sure, numbers can be important but surely, if you care about the numbers, you would have read it long before it was even posted here.

So, what does this thread do? Lure the fanboys in? And then we wait for the "Civilized Gamers Society" to walk in and poke them around? Mods have closed threads like this before because it absolutely serves zero purpose, other than the first post (which allowed me to learn something new).

After that, all I see is someone who will come in with a remark that Wii is subpar and then the arguments on why Nintendo is superior arises. Someone quotes the "graphic is almighty rule" and then someone will go "Oh motion control and Nintendo saved the game industry", someone will go on and say "Kiddy games" and then talks on cultural icons will surface.

How many times do we have to dance the same dance? Over and over and over again. One would have thought people would have gotten tired of this.

I now leave you to your discussion. My rant of the day is complete.

It doesnt have to be RE5, it's can be any shooting games, as long as the gameplay are the same as RE4, and yeah, is amazing, not even the new Dead Space which play so similar. How i hope i am using the wiimote and nunchuk

Umbrella is fun... great use of onrail shooter. Same goes to HotD although the graphic may be quite outdated, is still fun

COD:WAW, personally, i think it got the best graphic over wii, quite dinamic and nice. Played it till the end. Great control compare to PS3 controller pad.

I come here for good discussions as well, and I have had my share of fun in the various kopitiams and random chat threads that were opened across console couch.

So, yes, to me, every thread serves a purpose, whether it is to share views and experiences with a particular game (ie individual game threads), or console buying advice (which exists in every sub-forum). This thread could have served its purpose, but wouldn't you agree that discussion about the Wii and how great it is can be shared in the Nintendo sub-forum?

I don't specfically go to a Canon forum and scream, damn Nikon won these awards! So, while I appreciate the insights I gained from reading the past 7 pages, I would also think that piece of news could have gone into one of the many threads that are already available. Which therefore, brings me to my point that this thread serves no purpose because it could have done its job as a simple post in another thread.

As for your whole gaming hobby serves no purpose, aww, you don't feel that being entertained is a purpose? That in itself is why I play games. After all, if I am not entertained, why bother playing? Not all purposes have to be big and lofty so I don't envision myself solving world hunger just because I completed Cooking Mama. In fact, I can't even fry an egg after completing Cooking Mama, but I was thoroughly entertained.

And typing long posts like this is fun to me. So indulge me for the moment yah?

My GC was sold after I finised Twin Snakes but for PS3, have you tried, Eye of Judgement, LBP,Super Rub A Dub? Those are innovative games.

bro, what do u mean by A LOT of great titles from nintendo? the amount is almost the same as 1st party ps3 and xbox titles.

Relax neogeocdz, they are all pros and cons in every progression of each single console.

I just finished some ps3 games yesterday, those tops games rated above 9.0 from most rating site.

Sometimes, i wonder, what make the other console games much more appeal to me than those games in wii. (Must stress this, very personal opinion here). For me, i think is the production of the game. Let's look at 2 different games, MGS4 (PS3) and Mario Galaxy(wii). Both are very high rated game for eachh platform, played differently and had beed exclusive for their respective cnsole.

Now you might think MGS4 is much more fun cause its come from an HD console? Not really, i dont find MGS4 really that appealing in sense of gameplay, etc. same goes to Mario galaxy. But then, is up to individual taste.

I am not a MGS fans, never like stealth games, and I am not mario fan too, never really like the mario gameplay too (SMG or mario paper). But when picking a game which you might not like (Say you dont have much games to play anymore), i will go for MGS4 all the way. At least by watching the cinematic worth every penny i paid for that game. That just again my personal view.

Fans will always support each of their console, put the fans aside, we got ourselves with people who prefer what they will enjoy in each of their game.

And for the last time, the question for why wii dominate? How wouldnt they dominate? THey are meant for everybody. Ps3/xbox360 are mostly meant for gamers, but wii? Is meant for everyone..... Imagine wii as the rice cooker, is started to become a dominating household appliances. Kudos to wii for their success, I already stop thinking about wii trying to get mature or adult or aggresive games, as long as wii continue to serve it purpose, we all can hope 3-5 years from now, there is at least a toy/videogame console which is suitable for our beloved children

BWT, most of the ps3 and xbox are made by third party, Sony may have some, like god of war and gran turismo. While nintendo has so much 1st party, made by nintendo them self.

Jenniferjen...u're like me..we both bought the wii first but then migrated to the ps3.  Why? Coz i think my reason is the same as u n i need not elaborate further. I still keep the wii n wait for some decent title to my liking comes along again (eg: like RE4, zelda n metroid )

During the days of PS1 and PS2 when Sony sold by the bucket load, we held up and pay our respect to Sony since they knew the way to market it.

Now that NINTENDO HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD why can't you guys (the so called hardcore gamers konon) give the same respect and instead bashing it up?

as for graphics, both the ps3 and 360 have its strengths in various sectors...
there are some pretty decent comparison of the 2 consoles over gaming websites...
and again, MGS4 have been clean sweeping the 2008 graphics award...

and remember, the opposite of casual IS NOT HARDCORE...
so cute games is nothing wrong for hardcore ganers (see kingdom hearts, ratchet and clank, little big planet etc)

and since u like to say the software sales, look at the software sales for wii music...
having the biggest userbase, they would have the biggest market share for games sold as well...
