I was planning to buy a 10 years double storey terrace house by the end of this year but then I heard some rumours said that the economy crisis we're facing in 2008 will be worse by the first half of 2009, hence will affect the housing price. Can anyone give opinion about this? Will it affect the value of new houses only or both new and old houses? unsure.gif

hehe... U are facing same problem with me tongue.gif... Should i buy now, or buy in yr 2009 end? Many ppl said properties value will drop, but I think terrace house will not effect so much and maybe the price will maintain and wont increase looo... tongue.gif

IMHO, Value depends on the demand for the area/location. Nowdays banks are very choosy to approve loan on low demand location.
Of course 2009 it's going to be worst. If we keep thinking it's getting worst.
It's all depends on the person's needs vs. the credit card. drool.gif

house is a very long term commitment, so the factor that you like the house should be more important than its cheaper next year ....

my take is cheap price will not affect new housing much, they will just give more freebies, price stay or increase still.
