now 2-3k also normal only. Not even enough juice to brag the whole year long.

15-20 yrs ago, the cell phones could easily cost a few thousands.
btw, how come this video so much difference than the bottom one? unsure.gif
this one UI got smooth transition animation, can be on par with iphone

*
I can't see the videos coz' my comp block youtube but I can guess that you are showing the nokia promo clip and the actual phone demo, right? The promo clip definitely is just an animation though I wish by the time it comes out it could be that smooth. I like the ripple effect when the screen was pressed, nice. Wish they would have that as an effect of pressing. tongue.gif

Not much difference to me though, don't have the dough to buy it any time soon. I do hope they iron out those cons found in 5800. I've read the review on GSMarena, indeed it troubles me that the UI seemed not well refined. I would rather see a delay release but stable UI than an early release but buggy or immature UI.

i think it will be slower. but the size of both phone and ppc is a cause for concern bro. anyway, i tried and tested 5800 after some positive review from fellow forummer i question. But it is a bad bad innovation by nokia. they have a lot to improve on. the touch ui is so far off from other touch devices mainly dominated by iphone and samsung. their pressure-needed touchscreen is a far far away loser to iphone capacitative touch approach. if they want to sell N97 well and priced at 3k, this is certainly a place to improve on drastically. the new symbian also i find it quite weird and rushed for the market. browser, contacts, and messaging is different. the accelerometer is a good inclusion but nokia seems to fail to make it to good use with their symbian os. i have been a nokia user since day 1 with 3310, 8250, 5610, 6600, 6680, n70, e61i, and now e71. but i decided not to trade e71 for a 5800 due to the serious need of improvement on the phone. i think nokia plan to use it as a test handset and see the market response then they will improve on the N97. I sure hope they do cos i am in love with N97 just hope the price reflect its quality and usage.

No matter how much improved it is, Technology of these days just doesn't warrant for a 3k pricetag anymore.

Hi is it possible to buy this N97 from the Nokia Center by installments?
Bcs i really want to buy this phone when it comes out but the price surely will leave a huge hole in my pocket,so anyone here ever bought a phone through a nokia center by installment???
*
Buying a phone using installment (translate added interest) is a no-no because phone depreciate from the start of your purchase. So you are paying extra for something that is already depreciating.

Same is applied for cars but you dont see that stopped people from driving, yes?
*
Because not everyone can fork out a lump sum to buy a car. If one is capable, please to do so as well. Phone is different, can't fork out a few thousands? just bloody save the money. Plus when you finally manage to save up the money, the current price for that new handset might already drop as well which doesn't apply to cars. Car price dropped year end true but car also depreciate more straight after purchase by the end of the year, so bad second hand value (pros and cons but let's not dwell more into the details coz the thread is not about cars). Worse come to worse, just buy a cheaper phone which you can afford if you desperate needed one but a cheaper car that you can "afford" is still at least 30k or so, which is a big sum for many people.

You picked a rather incorrect analogy to justify purchasing through installment.

Sorry boss, just simply think that there's no harm buying something u like with installment as long as the buyer feels worth it. No offense yah! smile.gif

HAHA... yeah I get what you mean, don't mean to come out harsh on you. However, the feeling of "want" is pretty much spontaneous in nature. If one have the money to burn for that "want", fair enough. However, having to bear the cost of that spontaneous feeling with debt that you have to repay in installment might be a price to high to pay. Well that's the angle viewing from, anyway. Pretty boring huh?

I want to correct you on this, this contest for Malaysian is exactly the same as the one thrown by NokNok.tv.
To prove this, you may check the clues given by them, which lead to the same answer as the ones given by SymbianPoP.

Ours and NokNok's sets of questions and answers are different from the one that we can check the answers from the Nokia website.
That's what I got after reading from many sources

Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

I was pointing at the picture you showed which I believe different from malaysian competition which also means different from noknoktv. Because the answers are just too damn obvious to be wrong.

its been comfirmed that the rhyming clues on the noknok.tv site is a separate competition. so that explains why you get a wrong answer for entering touch in the first box.

I'm pretty sure all of us are aware of it, so far mannquin is only the one who has been asking while we've all tried to enlighten him.

But the answer for the other competition at least the first and second answers seem to have some relation to the riddle competition as well.. as for the third answer i am still trying to figure out. The other competition is definitely very very darn challenging.

Anyway.. i was thinking Black or White.. two of them looks nice... sometimes the Black one looks nicer than the white one, other times the white one looks nicer than the black one.. bloody hell... it's hard to decided between the two colours.

Because 1 kilobyte = 1024 byte, 1 megabyte = 1024^2 bytes, 1 gigabyte = 1024^3 bytes.

Well depending the context actually. But for memory measurement, the above should be a much accurate interpretation
