^dunno lol.. but recently the Nseries design has been revamped to be more elegant, eye candy, u name it...

still remember the looks of N70 and a few others 1st gen Nseries ? later the N73 got the better design, but yet still not good with the joystick, then N95 came out, which was powerful but kinda bulky and rough. N82, N81, which were launched at the same period, are having better looks than their predecessor but then, they were still thick and heavy.

Finally with the current batch, N78, N79, N85, N96, all of them are totally different than the 1st/2nd gen of Nseries, much sleeker, slim, nice and elegant. I used to say SE got the better in the design, but now Nokia has done quite some good work flex.gif

noooooooooooooo, nokia 5800 is a western food while N97 is a french food.

both cater for different category of ppl, you know, the buying power biggrin.gif

yalah, but 5800 is like a test platform for nokia's touch based S60 platform, if 5800 indeed performs better than expected, then N97 will be a hit the moment its released, if it's the otherwise, then ppl will be skeptical towards the touch S60

On a personal note, I think that phone prices are getting ridiculously high these days while technology is getting cheaper.

15-20 yrs ago, the cell phones could easily cost a few thousands.

btw, how come this video so much difference than the bottom one? unsure.gif
this one UI got smooth transition animation, can be on par with iphone

Due for release on 31/03/2009, won't be too late if the release date is correct.

is that so ? because as of now, 5800 still not yet landed in most other countries

you have to know that for the phone retailers that offer such installment or easy payment options (yes I know they are 0% interest), are ALL original sets with marked up price. Don't believe me please find the newspaper ads on Courts mammoth, Harvey Norman, I remember in Courts an N73ME costs RM1.4k... so good luck with your easypayment
