Here are some good games that my gf has downloaded into the touch (and loving it!)...
- Tic Tac Toe
- Labyrinth LE
- Subway

I also have the Facebook app although it is currently quite underutilized as i'm not a frequent Facebook user, unfortunately... But admittedly, it's superb for checking ur profile or friends updates on-the-go! thumbup.gif

Also, how are the Spend and Accountr application? Heard from forumers in the iPod touch user thread that these two expense-tracking apps are recommended!

And as we speak, i'm installing Dictionaire Simple Dictionary into my iPod touch... Quite a large-size application though (13+ MB), waiting for the installation to be completed... biggrin.gif

Hey, those of u who were Palm users in the past should go for Bejeweled 2, which was introduced to the iPhone and touch platforms this year... It is one of my favorite games of all time (more so than tetris! rclxms.gif) and btw, check out my review of the game in the iTunes Store... laugh.gif

There is a feature to translate the text to Chinese (both simplified and traditional) also but unfortunately, there is no pinyin to help me speak as i'm banana ppl and cannot read Chinese characters sad.gif...

Guys, what is a good Task app for the touch? I'm now able to sync the Contacts and Calendar with Outlook, with the last missing bit being for the Tasks...

Any recommended apps out there? Thanks! thumbup.gif

Hahahaha, luckily i didn't purchase Monopoly earlier... Otherwise sure kena US$3.00 extra! laugh.gif

Btw, check out my review of this excellent expense tracker called iXpenseIt on iTunes (priced at US$4.99)... This app is what i've been looking for these past couple of months and comes with great features including a chart-based report (for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly intervals!)...

Hmmm, i'm hoping for a game like Counter-Strike (or its equivalent) for the iPod touch... Dunno whether such a game is possible in this iPod-PDA or not though... laugh.gif

Haiya, easiest is to register the iTunes account with a valid credit card... I actually did that without a second thought and it's so much more convenient to purchase apps... thumbup.gif

Guys, what apps are available for the upcoming F1 season?

I was using a Palm to track the 2008 F1 season but now that I've moved to the iPod platform, I'm looking for similar apps... I have checked out several cool-looking programs but have not decided which one to download / purchase yet... Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance ya! thumbup.gif

Here's a list of my favorite everyday apps (from my posting in the iPod touch Fans Forum) for your reference... Check it out!

Todo (Biz / Productivity) - Appigo's Todo is one of the best task-based apps out there, items can be categorized into Focus (priority) or "Normal". Currently only able to sync with iCal on the Mac OS X but Outlook sync is currently under development. Also my most expensive iTunes purchase ever, cost me US$9.99 which amounts to around RM$36-plus!

iXpenseit (Biz / Productivity)- a great expense tracker (with customizable fields and categories) that can generate reports on spending patterns based on a day up to a year or more!

Remote (Leisure) - free Apple-designed app, enables the iPod to control the song selection and volume via WiFi signals.

The Converter (Utility) - units conversion for various categories such as speed, area, length, temperature, time, and even technical ones like luminance and pressure + stress!

Packing (Travel) - the app's name says it all, it's for tracking of stuff to be brought along for your travels, including clothing, essentials, and gadgets.

Speaking English Dictionary (Utility) - a great dictionary with a huge glossary of words as well as a Google feature for translation of words and sentences. The best thing is the speaking feature, helps in pronounciation of unfamilar words!

Facebook (Leisure) - iPod version of the every popular social networking site... 'Nuff said!

MPG (Utility) - tracks the amount of fuel used for every pump-in of gasoline.

Currencies (Travel) - displays the rates for hundreds of world currencies, including the fictional Linden Dollar used in Second Life. Rates are updated on user-set intervals but a WiFi connection is requred.

Night Stand (Utility) - a beautiful digital clock for the touch, can be viewed either in Portrait or Landscape mode. Alarms can also be set and there are eight sounds to choose from.

Flashlight (Leisure) - converts the screen of your iPod touch / iPhone to an emergency torch light.

Bejeweled 2 is certainly an addictive game for the iPod touch... I actually went from 670K-plus points to around 750K during a 30 minute period of sheer boredom... I was on an 8-hour flight from Melbourne to KUL two weeks back, btw... smile.gif

Other great games include the following:
- UNO
- Scrabble
- Crash Nitro Racing 3D
- Labyrinth
- Fastlane Street Racing
- Word Warp
- Free TicTacToe

Well, I did kena a problem with Facebook that caused my iPod to go bonkers... Because of that, I had to delete the program but that was several months ago...

Now, I've reinstalled Facebook and it seems to be doing fine thus far... thumbup.gif
