According to graph at hardocp.com, far cry 2 in dx10 yield better performance than dx9. Look for "DX10 Finally Shines" headline. As for myself, I've experience constant stuttering in dx10 sweat.gif

It should yield better performance because if I'm not mistaken, FC2 is tailored for DX10 or PhysX.

Don't worry, he'll change once he needs to use Vista.

Windows 7 looks set to be 'smoother for gaming'... compared to Vista. But it will still be XP > Windows 7 for gaming, for about a few months until Nvidia/ATI releases a crazily optimised driver.

Yesterday I just formatted by PC from XP to back again Vista (cos previously I thought that XP should be less resource hogging)..

I found that my GTA4 has higher frame rate in Vista than XP. I also tried Spiderman: Web of Shadows and seriously, before this I had stuttering problems with the graphics but now its very smooth.

I don't know why but Vista just handles dual core better than XP does. Even though I already patched my XP to SP3 and also applied the dual core optimizer but it just doesn't unlock the full potential of dual core..

btw, I am using an old skool socket 939 AMD X2 4400+ (2.2Ghz)...

That's what happens...all these people yelling Vista sucks never use Vista b4. Once they tried it, they're hooked. LOL.

yeah, but dont play Devil May Cry 3 . It's graphic card killer~

I've got over 100fps in DMC4 max settings @ 1680 x 1050...and constant 60fps when i set vsync on (i always play my games with v-sync on, that's the way it's supposed to be play!)...look better than PS3 version...

But of course, i use ATI 4850...LOL...runing in Vista. thumbup.gif

Hey , I will be getting my new lappie soon. Its going to use a Vista OS(Though I know isn't any good yet) , 2 G of RAM , 2.10GHz , and NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS graphics.
I was wondering , would it be just nice to play games like Habbo on it? With less lags? I dont plan to do super-heavy gaming. Just that I want to
play games such as Habbo.
PLEASE NOTE: Dont post things like 'Habbo sucks' , 'Vista sucks' , or whatever things similiar to that. Please post your opinion about it.
Dont be rude here , too. smile.gif

Can you please shut the fu*k up?! Vista isn't the only OS that slows down. Every OS slows down including Mac/Vista/XP/Ubuntu. doh.gif

If it about internet connection, the thing you should do is tweaking the tcpip.sys and other things that vista restricted.
