er...i din say i screamed at him right :| i was angry but i din reli raise my voice also.
anyway i bought it late september. and i asked the OS on those demo machines, is it in Snow Leopard and if the OS is available already. maybe the question i asked was not correct but my assumption was - if you demo the OS there, then the macbook pro should come with the OS. also on their web site, it is stated the OS is available, but din say if you purchase it now, u have to order it from SG.
so i don see any harm for the guy to inform me prior coz i told him i needed the OS.
and when he unboxed it, he was like "hmm does this come with the snow leopard or not?"... "oh, this one doesnt have 1".
that was why i was quite frustrated. if he told me beforehand, i at least hav the right expectation. no point getting the laptop and won't be able to do one of the important things i plan to do with it.
and yes, i know what is CUSTOMER ETIQUETTE. screaming at someone is not going to fix the problem. but as customer, we have the rights to get the RIGHT expectations. i tell u what i wan, and if u don tell me what i want is not there, then you've lost my trust.
And I guess you would have not understand the fact that not all machines comes with Snow Leopard, particularly those that have a manufacturing date before the 36th week of 2009. August 28th was the launch date of Snow Leopard, and that's 36th week. It's all stated on the serial number of the machine. So if that guy knows how to read the serial number (of which I think most ppl working for resellers don't since it's supposedly Apple's internal knowledge), you can't blame him either.anyway i bought it late september. and i asked the OS on those demo machines, is it in Snow Leopard and if the OS is available already. maybe the question i asked was not correct but my assumption was - if you demo the OS there, then the macbook pro should come with the OS. also on their web site, it is stated the OS is available, but din say if you purchase it now, u have to order it from SG.

Resellers usually get their stocks from suppliers regardless here and abroad, and suppliers tend to overstock them, so it's not surprising that they can't sell all of them on time. There's bound to be some old stocks lying around which they would want to get rid of. In this case resellers here are the poor saps, and I bet that gentleman got a lashing from you out of no reason, for both your ignorance, and (should I say) his accidental incompetence..?
That's the reason why Apple came up with the SL up-to-date program. If you're still not satisfied with the service the gentleman gave you, then raise the matter with his superiors, or better still with Apple directly. There's no point decreasing your lifespan holding a grudge towards that poor soul.
