QUOTE(tellmewhy @ Nov 29 2008, 10:35 AM) given to the extra pixels and bigger screen size that you'll be looking most of times, is nothing compare to gamin like 30-40 percent of the usage. it doesn't hurt that much playing at 22" resolution. |

1gb frame buffer on mainstream gpu is pretty much useless. They don't have enough raw power to feed the buffer. I see only marketing strategy.

QUOTE(pikacu @ Jan 11 2009, 10:21 AM) the price cuts already effective at malaysia (so fast lol) man.. what is wrong with nvidia pricing in malaysia? Even the GTX280 is still expensive while you can get it in US for almost the same price as GTX 260 216.i saw at cycom/czone price list, HD4870x2 priced at RM1609, while GTX 285 priceed at RM1699 :sweatL |

the problem with non-reference cooler is they charge you premium eventhough the cost is less than that. Even worst, the performance is only slightly better or almost none. And some non-standard PCB design also might introduce a problem. That is why i always prefer vanilla card, non overclock.

QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Feb 6 2009, 07:33 PM) Imo, nowadays theres new resolutions for new (mostly) lcd monitor. 16:9 is a scam for monitor computer. They can save cost by reducing the amount of pixels and cut more panels and sell more. End user get less pixels because of they marekting gimmick of 1080p which is not the main purpose of computer monitors. Especially on 24", 16:9 monitor is a huge ripoff since 16:10 24" offer more than 1080p natively.Last time 22" its 1680x1050, but now some got 1920x1080 oredi. Wherelse for 24" previously was 1920x1200 but nowadays its 1920x1080. All this to meet the 16:9 ratio instead of 16:10, imo its purpose for movie goers but not for those ppl use it for work as it has less resolution (less height pixels.. from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080). And if not mistaken, those 16:9 ratio monitors, its slightly smaller too.. so if it says 22" but actually its 21.5". Hmmmz.. dam.. i think i typed too much on it liaoz.. Oops.. before off topic, any news on the upcoming cats?.. Cheers |

QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Mar 7 2009, 03:29 PM) still getting same thing when i play movie with the mpc-hc. There are alot of pirate stuff going on there. the avivo video is not working at all....><" btw, use EVR as your renderer if you on vista. GPU acceleration doesn't always work. Make sure your source video is DXVA compatible. |
