QUOTE P.S. At 700mhz the rv740 is already faster than the stock 4850 in quake wars and Crysis. The rv740 is going to be one surprisingly balanced card. GENTLEMEN. |

QUOTE(ruffstuff @ Jan 11 2009, 10:24 AM) man.. what is wrong with nvidia pricing in malaysia? Even the GTX280 is still expensive while you can get it in US for almost the same price as GTX 260 216. Arrogance lol.The real reason is because a lot of websites are US-oriented in their price sections, but their viewers aren't, but the positive vibes still pass on. Anyway Catalyst 9 beta is so chun that the 4870X2 is faster than the GTX 295 in Crysis with AA. Pwnt. |

Who wants to try the 4670 with GDDR4 (finally here)?
After mem OC (2.0 is GDDR3 stock, 2.2 GDDR4 stock, 2.6-2.8 GDDR4 est OC) should get very close to 96/8800GT. This post has been edited by X.E.D: Jan 20 2009, 05:42 PM |

On behalf of your wallet and sexuality, just get a 4830 512MB and spend the rest on BJs.

Fudzilla says the fan is still 1.0A, hasn't changed at all.
They have a retail XFX 4890 so it's not ES. All 1.0A only, same as 4870. Maybe the slight extra resistance and the profiles are the only cause that it's "louder". This post has been edited by X.E.D: Apr 6 2009, 10:36 PM |

OMG OMG OMG TECH REPORT IS ALSO BAAIAAASED
http://techreport.com/articles.x/16681 Anand and [H] might very well be "bribed" (as if AMD has money), but I'd never for a second doubt Tech Report's Scott/Cyril combo. They are very anal about ad blocking so you know they are clean. One of the most detailed cover ups yet. The 4890 OC is the 900Mhz version, they didn't have the normal version. Euu, Powercolor 4890 looks like its power regs would cook an egg any time. Baaad design.
@Pro-MX, that was sarcasm. I was implying that people would call anything biased (like a 12-yo kid) if it didn't suit their motive. If you mean Anand's negativity on PhysX, you know what nVidia did before that? They refused to give anyone a review sample of their GTS 250 if they didn't pretend to fully love PhysX. Aka reviewer strongarming. The worst part of it was them pretending not to do so. This post has been edited by X.E.D: Apr 8 2009, 09:52 PM |

Anyway, getting back to the Powercolor 4890. Talk about irresponsible, we'll see tons of RMAs on this card, since CCC overclock is actually under warranty cover IIRC.
If you want cheap get the Manli. |
