Crysis is really a heavy game..4870 can handle almost all games at fullest on 1680 x 1050, but when it comes to crysis warhead (gamer setting), sometimes it will go down to 28-30fps..average is around 35-40 fps though..depending on which part of the game..highest i got is around 50..

Juz trying catalyst 9.2..a little improvement in 3dmark vantage from 9.1 (10658 vs 10626) and 2 fps average increase on gtaIV benchmark (1680x1050, very high: 47fps vs 45fps)

looks like a lot of downsides for the new catalyst..but so far i'm having no prob at all..but im not playing farcry 2 so i cant comment on that..however BIA2, GTA4, fallout3, COD5 and deadspace are running good..

I agree with you bro..i can hit 10200+ at 800/4000 oni..max i got around 10600 (only one time, dunno why)..but let see the real performance in gaming..

And cant wait to try Cat 9.3 too

edited: Just installed Cat 9.3 and ran 3dmark vantage 3 times. I got an average of 10780. Here are the results:

1st - 10779
2nd - 10774
3rd - 10786

Based on this result, kinda like this new Catalyst more than 9.2, where I only managed to get 10600+ max (only one time: first time) and the rest are around 10200-10400, which are totally not stable.

but the cpu score is already way more then my OC'ed 9550..but you are right, we need to wait for proper and reliable reviews..

maybe..i oso dun hav any prob since buying my card back in Nov..of course there were game crashes and bsods before, but they were caused by my unstable oc..btw does anyone here CF 4870 1gb with 650w psu? im thinking to get another piece of card but dun wanna upgrade my psu..no cash

U cant play FEAR 2 with previous drivers? Never tried the full game but demo seems ok with 9.1 and 9.2..

True, but even with 1GB card u still cant max out one or two settings coz out of memory already..no matter how fast ur cpu is.
