Both can be said to be equally good... =/
Picture quality is good, but one letdown - the W150's charger supposedly charges batteries to full in 4.5 hours

The AF motor in the W150 is slightly better than the IXUS.
Ok, that's all I can get. =/ other than that both cameras are really identical in terms of performance.
Ok, sure, no problems
With RM4k you could get yourself a few. Mainly:
Canon EOS-40D (used, most probably)
Canon EOS-50D (used)
Canon EOS-450D (new set)
Nikon D90 (new set)
I'm not sure of other brands but these two are quite a good choice.
I think you should Google and read some reviews on these few first.
Olympus possesses the longest zoom range, if I'm not wrong. 20x.
You can try to read some reviews about it. Frankly, most of the decision-making counts on the pros and cons of each and every camera.
In my opinion I think the G10 and the P6000 loses out slightly to the Panasonics, while I have no idea about the Fujifilm...

If you still can't find your choice, then look for pictures taken by the LX3 and the FZ28. That'll enlighten you on how well the camera works in certain environments.
Good luck trying to find a good deal then. =)
If I'm not wrong, you could try to scout deals from Fotokem or any photo shop out there - go in, ask the price, and say 'Ok, thanks, I'll consider the price and if I do want to buy it, I'll come back'.
