Type of camera/lens/accesories :  DSLR Camera,
Budget: RM5k -7k
Your Location:   KL
Preferable brand : Canon or Nikon
Type of photography u want to do :  Landscape or Portrait
Any specific models in mind? :  Canon EOS 50D or Nikon D300
Any specific features u want? :

Basically, I have narrow my choice between Canon EOS 50D or Nikon D300. Which one is more prefer by LYN user.

I do survey

Canon EOS 50D + EF-S 18-200mm F3.5-5.6 Lens is about RM5700.
Canon EOS 50D + 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 Lens is about RM4700.

Nikon D300 body only is about RM4700
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX is about RM800
18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR DX is about RM2700
(Forgot to ask about bundling body + lens)

I read review in the internet, mention that D300 is somewhat better than 50D not sure true or not. But 50D bundle package is much better price than 300D.

Personally I like to have Canon EOS 50D + EF-S 18-200mm F3.5-5.6 Lens (cheaper) but I read that this lens has problem with High levels of chromatic aberration.

EOS 40D also OK is I can find it at cheap price (Could not find in Low Yat)

Thank you very much. I was thinking of getting the 300D.I read the review somewhere which gave good conclusion. As for the 50D lens chromatic problem which are quite true when i saw my friend's images captured which have quite obvious. Im not sure its the setting or something else. Really thanks for the kind info.
