Type of camera/lens/accesories : Point and shoot
Budget : <800
Your Location : KL
Preferable brand : Any reliable brand except for Olympus
Type of photography u want to do : Family photo/indoor/outdoor activities. Nothing extreme just a point and shoot subject.
Any specific models in mind? : No idea
Any specific features u want? : Auto focus, can take better night/dark shot with less blurry, good batt life (lipo?), use common media like Micro SD or M2 (if its sony), must have capability of manual adjusting white balance, exposure, apenture, etc. Good video and sound record capable.

Current Olympus Mju 760 crapped out for no reason in 2 yrs. Took picture and the picture came out corrupted! If need repair, prolly cost a lot and I need a camera fast within next month for some activity.

If only corrupted memory card, thats easy. But just in case.

For me i would go for panasonic compact digicam. If u're using it only for point and shoot, i personally recommended panasonic or canon. Well the main differences for digital compact cam are just the size of the LCD and the speed of it's loading memory

Anyone can recommend a dslr for me? Any comment about Sony and Canon? or Nikon too..

Any website that show the comparision between those brand and model? For eg, mobile phone have this www.gsmarena.com.

Able to comment on these 3 camera, Canon EOS 450D , Sony A330 and Nikon D60.

Thanks

For beginners, go for Canon 450D or Nikon D60. You should go for Canon or Nikon. For you to get a good photo under low light area, you should learn to use the manual function and learn to not to shake your hand while snapping photos

Mate, if u got budget around RM1200-1500 for compact camera, that's kinda huge. IMO, there are not much difference between digi compact camera, except for the size of the LCD screen. I suggest u go for panasonic or canon.
