haha.. it is true also.. tongue.gif

however, i will recommend u to buy those branded make up base.. becos the bake up base is to protect ur skin from the comestic.
That is why i feel the make up base should be in branded.. hehe.. more safe.. rolleyes.gif

Others like eye liner, eye shadow, those comestic can buy in cheaper brand for practice.. tongue.gif

Anyway, those is my suggestion la~~ hehe.. u can make ur own decision.. biggrin.gif

BB cream is a skincare foundation. As I know, you may use that as your base + foundation.
After applying your BB cream, you may proceed to apply powder foundation/loose powder.

By the way, you may try Skinfood / Missha / Maybelline to start your make up.
Personally, I don't like Elianto make up, especially the eyeshadow. The color can't stay long. As for eyeshadow, Kate eyeshadow is recommended. smile.gif

Kate range from RM3x-RM4x
Skinfood, RM2x onwards
Missha, there's a seller here selling Missha product, you can PM her. Range around RM1x onwards.
Maybelline, RM2x onwards

Those are based on what I remembered. I stop buying eyeshadow for some time. I hardly apply eyeshadow when I make up. smile.gif

i feel dat for beginner it's best to use the pencil or crayon type of liner to draw.. once ur more confident, only use liquid eyeliner.
coz it is thinner n looks nicer lar...

personally, i use an eyeshadow base before i apply the eye shadow. firstly our eye area is the more sensitive n fragile area... if u dun take care wrinkles will come out n stuff... and if u use an eyeshadow base, the eyeshadow will be more lasting and the color will be brighter. makes it look more attractive.

however, keep in mind to spread the eyeshadow base a thin layer n evenly or else the colors will come out weird and messy.

there are also some videos on youtube.. dat teaches basic makeup...can check it out~

i think :-
silky girl color eyeliner is ok..reasonable n more variety
eyeliner from MAC is good... but a bit pricey
eyeshadow... buy those type that are creamy n shiny is nicer.
lipstick n lip gloss from Missha is fine... but revlon's lipgloss is the best for me.

I've tried skinfood pencil eyeshadow. Not bad biggrin.gif

Try to start with pencil eyeliner. I started with that too.
And I slowly start to use liquid eyeliner but with pencil shape.
I bought from Sasa, but it melts very fast. Perhaps my skin is too oily?

Practise makes perfect, my dear.

Someone told me that you can use crayon concealer to be your eyeshadow base. Anyone tried that before?

felicious, i use concealer as eyeshadow base...cos my eyelid is a bit dark..
but qinwen88,

i think for starters, u can try:

foundation: 2 way cake. ZA 2 way cake is good and cheap. Recommended by a lot of babes also.. i dont think u need liquid type one cos it will be a bit heavy for new user like u. shud be RM30+
eyeliner: Silkygirl eyeliner (not funkylights one) is cheap and good. Doesn't crease and smudge. IMHO, it's better than a lot of branded ones i've tried like lancome, ysl, clinique. RM15.90
eyeshadow: powder pan ideal for u cos it's the easiest to blend. if u dont have oily skin, elianto eyeshadow is ok. Very cheap. But if u have oily eyelids like me, u can try Kate. Good staying power. shud be RM30+
mascara: Maybelline Volume Express. The second best mascara i've tried (best goes to chanel inimitable mascara). Cheap and very very good. Curls even very short lashes like mine, and stays very long too, but smudges slightly compared to chanel. shud be RM20+
eyelash curler: Sasa cybercolour eyelash curler is good. On par with the shu eumera one. Dont get those RM10 and below one cos it's not good for ur eyes, cheap ones always pinch ur eyelid. Very painful! laugh.gif around RM21.
eyebrow pencil: Personally, i use loreal's eyebrow pencil. Havent try other brand for eyebrow pencil . I stuck to it (now using 3rd stick d) cos i like the natural colour. It's not too dark and not too red. shud be RM30+

These 6 things are the essential one. I think for starters, get these will suffice. Once u get used to it, u can get loose powder, makeup base, bb cream, liquid foundation etc.

Apply all the above according to their orders eg: 2 way cake> eyeliner> eyeshadow.....

if u're clueless on how, youtube... they have a lot of makeup tutorials u can learn!
Have fun experimenting on makeup. biggrin.gif
