Hi Guys hope u guys can clear the smoke on my head

i'm about to buy a iphoen but i wanted to know whether

1. If i heard iphone can save offline google maps right ? then when i use the google map to check where i am
basically it will tk frm the offline map right? so do i still nit to use my GPRS or wifi to online to get my position ?
or i can use it like garmin ? position me tru offline maps

2. Can i turn off my GPRS when i not in use and will it ask before it connect?

3. Does it worth to buy if i sometimes wan to view the map c where i am most of the time listen to song
view picture , write notes , and can i use and stylus to tap on da screen ?

4. How long it takes to lock into the satelite ?

PLEASE HELP TQ

and ...why do i nit to unlock it ? will the warranty be void ?

but i know iphone is more smooth than nokia 5800 interm of touch screen
