If it's really that bad, I think you should have pulled yourself out from Celcom broadband, V3000?

yeah im not sure...when im at jb,conenction very bad...but i just went to my gf hse.....at pontian.....and the conenction looks good.....

i think the connection will be bad when there are alot of users around u...like kl and jb ..sure they are lots of users...but if its like pontian(kampung kampung)...no one is using..then it will be fast...

Unfortunately, Sialcom states it in its Fair Usage Policy but not in the advertisements. Common sales trick. Moreover, the word "unlimited" is misleading. After 5GB limit, the connection speed is reduced drastically and there are constant disconnections at night, probably done to "sabotage" users who leave their computers to download. I dun see why this "unlimited" package is unlimited at all.

Too bad that the upcoming package with unlimited Fair Usage Policy only works with 18-month contract. After what I have gone through with Sialcom service for last few months, I am very reluctant to sign with any sort of contracts. Their operation method is just too shady. Perhaps, this upcoming package would have constant disconnections and problems in order to reduce the bandwidth usage. Of course, these all are done for the sake of "upgrading"...

Shall I? Since you're so not satisfy with the speed, just move on and get another provider which provide you better service.

Finally I have terminated this Celcom Broadband. My new place is in basement so there is almost no signal at all. Switched to Time Netlynx and quite satisfying with it.

But, the thing is, I have to with 4 months (Yes, It's 4) to get my deposit back!!!  . Last week, I called to the customer service and asked for the deposit and they said I have to wait that long because that is the PROCEDURE. Man.. I was like.. "WTF??!". Some more, they said my line is currently suspended (Not terminated yet) and only after 4 months later, it'll become terminated.

Honestly, I have had enough harassment from Celcom but yet.. I still have to. I thought it would be over once I submit the termination form.

So, my advice is, if is there any foreigners here thinking to subscribe this service, you better think twice or ask your local friends to use their IC.

Mine is .130 all the time and i don't get snail speed now after been uncapped.

OK guys.... from tomorrow onwards, I'm gonna start using U-Mobile HSDPA service. Good-bye my beloved 3-year old Celcom 3G. It's truely a great 3-year experience with Celcom HSDPA.



As shown above, connecting to LA server is what U-Mobile have promised...up to 3.6Mbps...this test has been stable for more than 6 hours... and torrent wise... i'm downloading like no one's business.... long live U-Mobile HSDPA!!! ... and it's way cheaper than Celcom D98 plan...

My area also don't have umobile if not i will give it a try since it's cheaper

No, U-Mobile doesn't need to sign up contract unless you are taking the modem package.

hsdpa package with usb modem for rm98 for maxis postpaid....is this the first time there is something that can be considered a good offer from any of the 3g providers in msia?

celcom had done the similar promotion earlier this year. same with maxis that was RM 98 for 3g package with free usb modem or RM 128 for hsdpa pacakge with free modem, tied with 24 months contract.

personally i would rather go and buy a usb modem and subscribe to the broadband package itself.
