Wonder if the gift cert can be used or not. As I just email to her whether I can buy it from US then used it in Malaysia. Haih... Or worst to worst.. tumpang fren at US to buy for me and transfer money to her account in US. Haha..

just google, there are way.
1) logout of ur i tunes, then
2) you search for any free software, i choose google earth
3) click purchase/buy
4) itunes will ask u to login
5) choose create new itunes account
6) in payment screen, it will show None as payment
7) in address field, you should use a valid us address

dude, refer to this. i'm using latest i tunes and it allow me to do it.

do remember, valid us address and use only email that end with .com (yahoo or google mail.)

i created an account on the UK store using that method about 2 days ago and works for me~ (a friend of mine generously gave 25GBP worth of itunes giftcard~)

i created a free malaysia account just few days before they remove the 'none' payment method... so lucky

still can be done with gift card, but the free account trick by registering through download from app store doesnt work anymore.
so at least need to find iTunes Gift Card first before can proceed.
btw discussions on it has already on the link i put above.

best buy at ebay just to find a paypal seller that can help u buy. $50 itunes gift cards can get below rm100. they just send the code by email. no need postage
