wah lauuuu.. 12 lit eh? thats 12x20 = 240 just for ATF alone. Plus workmanship, let say 100, 340.. hehe.. But still cheaper that converting to manual thumbup.gif

Was jokin bout the b16a lar bro biggrin.gif Yeah i heard normally they change the whole thing thats y i asked bout mantainance, but i dun know any workshops yet lat but i havta survey still coz plannin 2 do the car up starting jan next year nia...

Mine is a 1.6XLI (A) 1997 model, mileage is 149 XXX KM...The car has alot of minor probs tht can be sorted out.Engine & gearbox is ok (touch wood) but the pickup is really bad now.Plan to get it done step by step...as in change rims to 16 inch so on...
What should i do for my auto tranny, i cant convert coz my mom uses my car too when i am in college so i cant change to manual.I juzz wanna maintain my gearbox coz it was untouched 12 years except flush n replace tranny oil sweat.gif

Plan is to..
1.Change old rims to new 16 inch
2.Repaint car
3.Replace old exhaust pipe all the way frm extractor
4.Maintain the current auto GB

Budget 6K

new rim + tyre = 1k
repaint car = 2k
exhaust pipe = 1k

There is one design i liked in 16 inch..but i will still look at 15 inch also coz lighter.Another concern is the loss of pickup..

for me, i dont recommend u to take back proton ATF oil...
cheeann said toyota T-IV ATF is good and better grade...
i can get from sparepare shop around RM70 for 4 liters
and i got 1 spare bottle left, can wait to use it rclxm9.gif
i even use before castrol ATF... cheapest of all about RM45 only
but so far so good...

trade in old and get new rims, roughly 2k++ if for 16" and good tyres...
16" got limited type of tyres... u can option for 15" or 17"
got more choices...
repaint car about 1k to 2k
exhaust from normal exhaust shop less than 1k
if u go for branded and performance, i think 1k is not enough..

Yeah 16 inches tires harder to find but rims i will look on slowly bro..for now i am juzz planning on cost effective mods to gain torque to the engine..did a top overhaul 3 years ago low all the power is lost again.. shocking.gif

at least u overhaul urs before...
mine still havent, drive from year 2000 til now
around 80k km..
before i took over this car, the car maintainance suck...
change engine oil about once a year cause not body look after this car...
now properly handle by me...
