Hey guys wanna ask u guys bout my car...Well firstly mine is a 1.6XLI (A) 1997 model, mileage is 149 XXX KM...The car has alot of minor probs tht can be sorted out.Engine & gearbox is ok (touch wood) but the pickup is really bad now. Plan to get the car back to glory again hoping if nyone knows a good gearbox guy coz i think the gearbox hav been never opened before..
Plan to change the rims coz the old rims too old i guess...maybe plan to add E-manage to tune the carfor later on upgrades maybe.
Any suggestion's guys on what i should do? cost effective mods...i did a top overhaul 3 years back but i think it lost its power again.

same car/year as mine but mine with a little more mileage. You have the rusty roof problem? My auto tranny have given up its life and I opt for manual tranny. That will cost around 2500 overall

Rusty roof? yes yes haha! i got a guy tht will clear it up for me...gearbox okey still n kickin but i need to do somethin pickup is bad and my knowledge in auto tranny is very minimum

6k why not change ur engine straight?then trade in your current one..
we have member here doin engine transplant..

else u have to change alot minor part lo..
coz if u change more and more..ur car might be eating up alot petrol at the end of the day..

I believe Bigblock's 6K budget meant for everything including engine, wheel and bodywork? No?

Yeah bro 6k inclusive for everythin...if thats not enough might add abit more here n ther but i want to do cost effective repairs bro.
Roof bout Rm600 but not finalised yet coz my my painting nt included

Anyone can recommend me where to install "Rally" look on Wira and its budget around KL?

what rally look that can be install??

mine hard to remove cause tat time when change to the new bumper, my cousin help me tie together with the metal rod for more stable and wont drop easily...

bukit raja jusco at klang right....
if u use NKVE highway, all the way straight til klang toll, then turn left
after tat u will reach a traffic light, just U-turn and u can see jusco on ur left

bro... im driving a wira 1.6 auto also.. made in year 1996 but registered at year2000
mileage not even 80k km yet
if u wanna change gearbox, better get manual but hard to get cause too rare and pricy...
as for e-manage, i think if ur car not heavily modded, just get apexi SAFC neo is already enough...

so far no rusty roof...
nowaday manual tranny expensive...

we got 1 member here wira auto 1.6 converted manual... his nick shinjite
earliest batch for wira 1.6 and i think is year 1993
his car powerful... must respect

1 thing i lazy to drive manual is..kl jam lol..
but even my exhaust guy and my foreman say..if my car manual..
the exhaust system oni full power come out..cha lan dou..

Yeah same KL always jam mah but i am still a student use the car weekend's but still auto is easier in KL....if manual i wish for a b16a

So no one here knows a good workshop in kL that does auto tranny mantainance...as in i wanna fix whatever is worn off in the same time i dun wanna get it spoilt.like manual tranny you can change the final drives cluch plate and so on.I am very unsure on auto tranny mantainance..

auto and manual will give different output HP

i also prefer auto but when sometime speeding in highway, once u reach 120kmh and going further, 3rd gear will take a long time to do it
b16a can fit in ur wira
faster go transplant

im not sure whether the auto gears can be change or not...
normally they change whole thing... there are few specialist in auto gearbox and they come with warranty for few months... u can try out but i dunno where is it... maybe u can find in some magazines..
if u wanna flush ur gearbox, prepare 12 litters of ATF oil...
after tat, u can feel it like new GB if ur GB is well maintain
