use energizer and your controller will work fine(works for me)

if not,theres something prob with your controller

i use panasonic and duracell(ok2)..erm eveready was bad

and it alwasy dc in 2 min like that
damn annoying.

after using energizer,it works fine again

and if using other battery such as panasonic and eveready, the battery will be in 1-2 bar in just a few days
