as for myself, i have been using the energizer rechargeable batteries since the original finished, so far not so much problem. as indicated if it starts disconnecting, probably the battery is flat...even though the bar on the dashboard still showed that it's half full. normally i will just pop it back for recharge and after that it's good to go again.....

its normal btw. If you're like my brother who can play 24-7 without stopping. The battery indicator is spot on. the indicator goes haywire and back to half full even when its flat after i turn it on the next morning.
