Caspian is AMD’s solution for mainstream notebooks. It will ship with AMD’s next-generation Tigris platform, which replaces today’s Puma. Tigris will feature a new RS880M North Bridge + SB710 South Bridge.

Caspian is the CPU, Tigris is the platform name. It will come with RS880M North Bridge + SB710 South Bridge. As of now no more further detail.

However i can assure you that RS880M Graphic will surely be more powerful than current AMD offering let alone INTEL built-in graphic.

But they never mentioned which quarter in 2009. Maybe 01/01/2009 or 31/12/2009. That's a valid statement.

the days where we can go around shopping for graphics card for laptop like we do now for desktop ones are near...

lets just hope its practical and affordable enough, but how come since AMD Puma already supports it but i don't see much hype around it?

No! Its no in one chip. Its in one packaging with the CPU. CPU-GPU in one chip will take a while.

Tigris platform? will Caspian CPU uses K10 or K10.5?

hope the cpu will use K10.5, since K10 has kinda high tdp and power consumption . . .
