Guys,

I am going to ask a question that may be controversial but I do not mean to do so. I am asking because I genuinely want to know since I sell HPW. So, please do not take my question the wrong way. (Everyone here seems so sensitive lately sweat.gif )

Naskrieg, did Hun say that HPW cannot be fed to joeys?

Because, as far as I know, this diet was verified by vet / nutritionist in the US. Yes, I understand that the weather there is colder than here but the summers there are very hot not to mention dry as well. They also feed this diet during the summer months.

I do understand that everyone has a different opinion on things but if there is scientific proof that HPW cannot be fed to joeys, then I would like to see it. If this is true, then I would not recommend HPW to joeys anymore.

All of us here are learning and I too would like to learn.

I do not have children, so I did not know that babies cannot eat honey.

Anyways, like I said I am also learning so as far as I know, this diet can is safe to be fed to gliders of all ages, inclusive of the honey. From what I know and have read, the bacteria is only present in raw honey and not processed honey.

It's not that I am not thinking logically. It is because I am thinking logically that I asked for scientific evidence.

As for the 3 eggs, I personally do not think that 3 eggs to last one glider for 4 months is a lot. That is like less than one egg per glider per month. Perhaps your findings differ. If they do, I would be glad if you could enlighten me.

As for the soy (I guess you mean soy and not soya sauce), this has been debated before. Wombaroo did write a statement about this soy saying that it is safe for gliders - I can't find this statement now but I will look it up later when I have a bit of time. I have also posted a link earlier on about this debate.

No, I am not having a war either nor do I feel that you are stopping Pet Shack from selling this. I am merely questioning the basis of your assumptions. Again I will reiterate, I too am learning.

After all, this is a forum where I hope we can all have mature discussions and debates without slamming each other.

Actually, I did not know that there was a difference in gliders in Australia and here. What is the difference?

From the picture, the base looks like there is a gap there. Can the glider squeeze through that?

Sorry Muchan, just saw your message. So busy playing PSP tongue.gif.

Hmmm, the chalk works for me. Maybe the ants are more aggressive in your house. Vaseline works too.

Thanks Sara smile.gif

Guys, is sugar cane a good food for sugar gliders?
*
Liyana, you can feed your glider with sugar cane. They love it but just be careful where you get your sugar cane from. Saramic recently posted an article about dirty sugar cane in coffee shops.

If you have a sugar cane tree, then by all means, go ahead and feed but not as a staple diet. Just a few pieces as treats smile.gif
