Yes of course you can. But I suggest that you remark in your resume that you are yet to get your final CGPA. As in my case, I put the latest CGPA as well as the expected CGPA in my resume when I was about to graduate, and I landed a job before I sat for my final semester exam.

It shows that you are someone who is proactive in seeking a career, as you started to apply for it even before you graduate.

For those that have gone through the business presentation, is the business presentation topic CIMB related? or a general question?

I went for TCB interview 2 years ago and failed in the last stage:(, the presentation given to me was not related to investment banking at all, it was a sales and marketing topic!! Let me explain the stages for the entire interview flow of TCB to those who are interested in this Programme:)

First of all, submit your CV to CIMB web site and usually you will get a reply from email or a direct call from a HR executive. This is more like a verification stage. Then the HR will schedule an interview session for you if your qualification meet their criteria.

First stage of interview, you will be required to write a short essay out of 5 topics and some easy MCQ (these are NOT IMPORTANT and carry very low weight into consideration of passing the 1st stage of interview). Then you will be called into a room for an interview session with a HR manager, *please be confident and show your passion!! They are looking for hungry people who don't easily give up. Impress them!!

Second stage of interview, you will be called up to go Deloitte to sit for a test. You do not need to prepare for this test at all because it wont help:P This test is more on logical thinking and to test your level of learning ability. Passing rate for this test is >70% according to the HR who interviewed me in 2 years ago. There are 4 different tests in this stage.

Third stage of interview, a business presentation. You will be given a business topic and required to do a presentation of 30 mins (including Q&A). This part is easy but you need to be professional in your presentation slides as well as the way you present it. One of the department head will sit in with a HR to assess your presentation. *Luck plays a big role in this stage cause you might get an examiner with bad mood:)

Last stage of interview, another interview but with the head of HR. Be confident, it's more like a conversation rather than an interview session. I failed cause i was too nervous, hope you all don't follow my footstep:P

Advices for people who are eager to enter investment bank!!

1. Ready to work for long hours on editing or donkey tasks for the first few years
2. I have seen many people gave up in pursuing their dream in investment bank and have better achievements than what they can achieve in an investment bank.
3. Learn to be meticulous because they can't afford any mistake
4. High paid with the "Packages" such as bonuses!! Monthly paid is only average compare to market. You are not entitle for bonus once u tendered or fired:(

Overall, TCB is a good stepping stone but be aware that only the top notch of performers will be absorb into the main departments. People who do not managed to get into this program, don't be worried, there are plenty of opportunities out there.

Sorry for the incomplete information as i am rushing for a meeting!! Ciaoz

just went for 3rd stage last week...was quite easy...depending on the panel as well...i only got two people...1 from hr and another from corporate banking...they will certainly ask questions...my advice is to really know your presentation...and also what the different divisions in cimb does...

4th stage is with the director...it is with the head of group corporate resouces...

and as for pay wise...i heard that it will be increased from my friend who is a trainee now...basic will be 3.5k and then there may be a slight increment based on your qualification...degree or degree with honours or masters...

Hi, will there be an individual presentation or group discussion during the 4th superday? And how difficult is the case study? (I will go to there superstaff day next Sat.)

Thanks for your sharing!
