ok sorry was away
just came back to change my hdd
ok basically what i did.....
i setup floppy with windows 98se bootable
when i tried the first time, it can't detect the drive
so when i tried open msinfo32
i notice that my scsi got no info, info only available in ide
so i change the hex value accordingly and when i connect the drive again when i tried to enter hddhackr -f it can detect the drive
then it prompt for flashing i click 'y'
then prompt for create undo bin i click 'y'
right after that, the error message comes up

ok ok...i managed to figure out and got the partition 3 appear, plug in onto the xbox dy, now software update....

Added on November 22, 2008, 12:50 pmok managed to complete it.....haha spent till 230am last nite figuring out the hexing part...

er bro mmx, on the hexing part right, we still need to enter those values in row 400 hex right? if not xplorer360 still won't recognise the partition 3

apart from that everything is alrite, i think i encounter a lot of problems, from the flashinb part up till the hexing part haha, but good fun...

i think your guide is ok, but do add the part where it requires you to add in the hex part as mentioned in scene-xbox, i think that would ease the confusion. and about winhex, it's good coz i think the main reason the author put that is so that we can check whether we correctly hex the part to XTAF (as in 80000 hex)

no problem about the model, will update later coz not at home......but i think worth it, although i spent much more on a 250G HDD...kekeke
