just to share a bit with everyone..

my friend said he was asked to leave the store ultimate toys in amcorp mall once becoz it was crowded on day...

so this afternoon as my friend and another friend were walking with me hunting for toys at amcorp..

both of them entered the store as i only survey the toys from outside...(it was again crowded, being a sunday and it is anyway a small shop)

and truly enough they were approached by the owner asking whether they are looking for anything and when they said they are looking around first, they were asked to get out of the store so that he (the owner) could go out to take some things..however, once they stepped out of the store, he locked the door, leaving mostly the customers who were interested or maybe collecting their hot toys...

i leave the assessment to u guys...

Stop being so naive

If a certain shop lower their price from the normal retail, then definitely those shop that don't lower their price look expensive la.

Even so, paying extra RM 10.00 - RM 20.00 so what. Big deal?

Buy a Honda also pay almost triple the normal price
Buy a Proton also pay extra compare with Saudi Arabia

Already pay so much extra for a car, so what so big deal over RM 20.00 - moreover over a toy ?

i think it's not fair u say like that la... i mean in toys u have an option to buy at lower price right? by being smart n looking around... however ur example of a car prices...do u have a choice here? no right? so i think it's not wrong for buyer to go for lower prices for toys..

rm10-20 difference when u buy say 10 pieces of toys with difference of that much wouldn't u have save up to rm100-rm200?

of cause u might use up ur time and money to look for that bargain anyway...lol...

It is not wrong to shop for cheap toys, but cursing a shop just because of RM 10 - RM 20... please stop it la, as others is laughing at this small petite RM 10 - RM 20 issue . toy shop owner is just trying to make a living just the same as you as well. They don't deserve your cursing just because of you yourself not willing to let others make RM 20 which is not a lot of money after considering their electric bill, house installment, CAR installment, family expenses, rental (which is incredible high compare oversea), food etc. Toys in Malaysia is reasonable cheap if you compare with many more country like Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Brunei and many more.

And yes, you got a choice. you always got a choice even in buying a car.

my friend, if ur complaint is about guys cursing toy shop for expensive prices i understand la... i guess its not appropriate la...but like mr judge said, the reason for this thread is to share info so that we do not become victims of overpriced toys..

n ur argument about all the commitments n stuff...u mean buyer don't have those commitments too? they too have bills to pay n the commitments u mentioned...

n as i said earlier, if ur too much hunting for bargains, u could end up spending xtra time n money for it..however if u have info on places with bargains n so on why not use them rite?

lastly about cars, ur the one complaining about car prices being expensive here rite..what i meant not having a choice is about the pricing of the cars..of course u can choose the car but u can't choose the price of it being so expensive here rite...

from ur reaction i would guess ur in the toy business, sorry if have offended u...

bro itforce, if u had read my comments properly, you would realise that i said that he filtered the customers...he somehow like get rid at those who want to just have a look...my friend told me that the owner said to them to move out as he wanted to take things, however what he did was just lock the door right after my friends left and return to his place.. but i guess if u go in n straightaway pay without bargaining or taking ur time to see, u would be treated like a king.. i believe he is a nice guy, but what he did on that day was not so nice..

Exactly. If the item is unused and returned within a reasonable time frame i don't see why the shop refuse an exchange of item of similar value or less.. Doesn't matter i'm "bad luck" for keep buying products that i later found unsuitable to use or can i just simply change my mind?

If you have experience returning items to Toys'r Us, Marks & Spencer, Ikea etc, they will never argue with the customer and they even issue you a cash or credit card refund at your preference should you do not wish to exchange with other items from their store. Yes, i know i shouldn't be comparing these giant retailers with gamers arena sg wang plaza as this is a higher level of customer service which i never expect from gamers arena sg wang plaza. But is it wrong for local shops (hobby/toy shops or any other shops) to benchmark themselves against major retailers to further improve their services to benefit our consumers instead of arguing with customers to save them the time & hassel to make an exchange?? (and i'm not even expecting a cash refund from them).

Whatever it is, i rest my case here and will never step into gamers arena again. Anyhow i think it does not matter much to them for losing any potential business from small customers like me..who cares.

i think what bro parody said earlier is u should try to make more informed purchases...do more research n more checking before ur purchase, to avoid having to put urself through the hassle of having to exchange it in the first place...in the case of ur wrong size of display case for example, you could have measured first with what u want to display and then check out the dimensions of display cases that are at the shop... don't u think u would have less "bad luck" if u did more research b4 making this purchases?

however, i do believe it's not fair of the shop to not allow an exchange of the same value if the item is not opened...

so did u exchange the case with the medium one without getting any refund of the balance?

i guess we always hope for the best from retail shops...however we must also strive to be a better customer...

^ sorry bro, but don't u have the receipt for the payment u made for the preorder? u could have gone to him and demand for a refund of ur cash regardless if it was his partner who deal with u... ur very patient bro, i respect that...but u have to fight for ur right too..

it is 2012 now bro...so it's been 4 years they hold on to ur money...about time u did something bro... best of luck..
