Ya, Graffiti are notorious for packaging stuff here and there, trying to sell off their unwanted stock of Bumblebees and Mudflaps. If you're lucky enough to find two items you like then it's not that bad, but it rarely happens. I usually only go there for Star Wars stuff, and some of the older toys which are no longer found elsewhere like the ToyBiz Marvel figures and so on. I've been buying from them since they were PlayStation in Star Hill, and they've always been friendly, although their prices aren't as competitive as other places.Agree on the XL shop in Mid Valley - that guy with glasses is really unfriendly, and good luck if you want to ask him about anything. The BTS branch is really nice - the two guys there are chatty and helpful, although I was a bit upset when they told me to check the website "if it's not there we don't have it" when I asked them about the re-release of Figma Saber and Rider. When I went to the Ampang HQ today I was told that they had them, and they're sold out - apparently the website isn't accurate and I should join their Facebook group to get the latest updates. Ampang HQ service is pretty good - I think the lady there is the boss or something, but it's a horrible place to try and visit location-wise. BTS is still my favourite branch, although Empire's branch isn't bad either. The large guy manning the place there is also quite helpful - in fact sometimes he talks too much, but it's okay for me.
I've always had good service from Time Machine, but when I go there I know that I expect to pay more than I would in XL shop for my stuff - I go there to look for stuff which other places no longer stock, and I've found some stuff there which I thought I'd never see. Their prices can also be quite competitive if you buy from their eBay account (although I'm not sure if it's still active). I did a search around KL for a Soul Of Chogokin Daltanious and their price beat Graffiti Toys, vHobby and that shop in AmCorp Mall (I think it was Ultimate - the one not on the top floor like the others that's closed most of the time I go there).
Another shop I'd like to compliment on their service is the Toys R Us in KLCC - quite unexpected, really, but they're really friendly and seem to enjoy their toys, unlike some other shops I've come across.
