wow quite a good pay. I still recall last time i got offered for only 1.7k flat with the same position. & yes it requires me to work on site all the time.

trust me, although the job is hard it will be a good job to keep your body healthy since you will sweat and physically walk or work around

Alan, depends on what kind of position they offer. PE will manage plan the whole project. He will foresee the design and coordinate all work on site. Doing reports and liaise with customer and subcon to get all the job running. Yes job doesn't confine to concrete or steel based job. It will too require expertise from electrical and mechanical side. E.g on electrical wiring setup, ventilation system, lifts.. and so.

For QA/QC engineer, you will be involve with all scope of testing. Should there be any non compliance, you will need to resolve it together with PE or other consultant.

Working environment.. well, sometimes you can slack here and there, & when it rains all jobs come to a halt, unless you've complete the roofing. Working environment is hazardous. You'll be surprise with the accident rates on site. People communicates loudly/shout towards you with anger. Complete with ^&%&^$& language. Yes you will see 2 faced character. After 10 minutes of scolding in the Meeting, you will ended up with a good cup of tea with them as if there is nothing happen. life is tiring. you will work long hours, yes even off office hours. sometimes they will call you out in the middle of the night and you will have to be ready on site to coordinate or manage the situation. Late schedule will result in double shifts.

My previous job lasted about 8 months. Scope of work was on QS,Planning & HSE . Yes you will have to fill up some empty job position some times, but extra pay. Overall, you have to be smart. Don't trust anyone esp your supervisor or subcon. Thats why site visit is important to let you see the physical job running on site cause most people lie.

its not a bad job, but for me I dislike such life and low wages. 3.4k is alot for starters btw
