QUOTE(ikanbilis @ Mar 21 2011, 01:40 PM)
Wow! I have been using HLB online at 0.42% for years and pay tens of thousands of brokerage fee. CIMB is so cheap and I want to change to cimb immediately!!!

Where do i open an account in JB and how to transfer my shares in HLB to CIMB?

Thanks

RM 8.88 or 0.0388% click trader account is a cash upfront account, rm 10k will be earmarked as condition to enjoy the low rate, you can withdraw all money including the rm10k whenever you are not trading, just do an own name transfer in the cimbclick (cimb internet banking) the get back your fund.

You need to have internet banking ac ( with cheque book, ATM ) and an click trader ac ( is a current ac but can only trf fund in and out to your own CA ( the one with cheque book and ATM ) for control purposes.

Once click trader ac is opened ( it is a nominee ac) you can transfer the shares in HL to that ac if you want to. to sell the shares and enjoy rm 8.88 per trade you must first trf rm 10k in the click trader ac from your internet banking ac.

Sorry to hear about your problem, all the steps taken are correct, but this is a very unlikely case whereby the fund is already debited from your RHB bank account and not shown in CIMB Securities trust.

For eDeposit through CIMBclicks and M2u, the fund will be in trust account the next working day automatically

For FPx eDeposit you need to email the transaction details to the dealer/remisier to credit to your account, have you done that?

it should be fine

ok i'm HLeBroking users.

0.038% is definitely better than my HLeBroking at 0.38%. i have some Q&A too.

HLeBroking doesn't limit me for how many cash I should deposit into share account to enjoy the percentage and I can withdraw it anytime I want. Does Click Trader allow that?

also I saw some forumer here said buying PN17/Warrant doesn't give you 1x trading limit but my HLB does give me that for T3 days. if that's the case, HLB is better as it maxed out my trading limit base on my cash instead of base on type of counters I buy.

Hi there

Clicks trader account is cash upfront Ac with rm8.88 or 0.038% whichever higher

to your questions:

1) there is no limit to that, I have clients with few hundred thousand in Ac no problem. Condition is rm10k is earmarked to enjoy the rate ( you can withdraw the 10k from Ac if you are not trading ), say rm300k in Ac can only trade up to rm290k

2) don't confuse with margin Ac, clicks trader ( rm8.88/0.0388%) has no restriction on whatever stocks u buy, criteria only cash upfront as per 1) above

pm for more info

Yup. I can use the iPhone web-based platform to trade on my Android.

Good to hear that a dedicated application for Android will be coming in the future.

Look like quite a lot of clients like to use Android, Cimb heard you, it will be soon. However some clients still find the Ipad better due to the layout which is similar to what you see in normal PC and laptop, Cimb Ipad version is quite nice and with an instant reboot ( rather than waiting for pc/ laptop start up which takes some time ) viewing and trading is a breeze with Ipad. Anyway phone is small and compact, good for emergency situation to buy/sell your stocks

Happy trading

All the best

Hi guys, hope u all can help me with a few questions i have :

1) Can i sign up for clicks trader (to enjoy lower rates) and still have a direct CDS a/c (under my own name) ?

2) What if i have an existing Direct CDS a/c with Maybank IB (which is empty), can i use it for cimb iTrade/clicks trader?

3) Can i transfer money from my cimb savings a/c into the trust a/c online thru cimb clicks?

4) Can i transfer money OUT of the trust a/c online into my cimb savings a/c thru cimb clicks? Any charges involved ?

5) What are the other differences between iTrade and Clicks Trader, besides the brokerage fee?
5a) Both iTrade and Clicks Trader can use iPhone to trade?

6) *noob question* can i place orders overnight (so i don't have to wake up at 8.30amto place the orders) ? can any online trading platforms do this?
Thanks in advance smile.gif

Hi there

Answer to your questions:

1) Clicks Trader is a Nominee a/c brokerage is RM8.88 or 0.0388% whichever higher, must maintain rm 10k in a/c to enjoy the rate.

2)Your Maybank ac is separate n diff from CIMB a/c. You can have a/c in CIMB, Maybank, OSK, HL etc all separate

3)Definitely, this is the way encouraged all do online we call it eDeposit, all automated. withdrawal from trust also the same if withdraw before 10am it will be in your CIMB bank a/c by 5pm, Free of charge. for trf from clicks trader to SA, just log in to CIMBclick and trf to your own a/c (SA or normal CA)

4)Itrade - personal name, normal brokerage, 3X trading limit for cash and value given for Shares in a/c for trading limit, can trade foreign shares
Clicks trader- Nominees, cash-upfront, no multiple, no value given for shares a/c, only for local markets. in short buy with cash only.

5) you can have both Itrade and clicks trader in one trading platform, just choose the a/c to trade as per needed, Both can trade with Iphone/ipad

6) Not only overnight, we have feature called GTD (good till done) meaning you can key in once and it will be there until done. eg price now is 1.2 you want to buy at 1.05, put in GTD 5/5/11, the order will be automated in everyday until done or until the date set, likewise for sell order.

hope this help

pm for more clarification if needed.

Happy trading

I completed the new CDS opening and transfer application during March, due to the custodian fee on nominee account.

The officer said existing login can be used, cause they will do the linkage, but until today, I am still seeing same old CDS account, and my shares still have not yet transferred.

Anyone have done their transfer?
*
1) Open an Individual name accunt

2) Once opened, instruct to have all shares and trust money transfer to yor individual names ac

Note: all these will not hinder your trading as while waiting for the Individual ac opening, you trade in the nominees a/c (ST a/c) until the Ind a/c open and all shares and trust trf

3) proceed to close the nominees a/c (ST a/c) - this a/c can only be closed once it show zero balance (shares and trust)

hope this help
