Somehow it seems like the blue one is more common here in LYN. But outside it seems like the red one is more popular

Yea yea. Like me. First I've got a plastic cover for the phone then I've got a pouch. I mean it also depends from one person to another. To me this phone is worth investing on.

Same here. I rather take the trouble to access it from the menu rather than slider the slider key. It seems like my sliding key is getting looser since the day I bought it.

What I know is that if you wanna put 8Gb can one but then the memory shouldn't store to the max 8Gb if not the memory card will get corrupted and something like that.

Same here. Mine has loosen much since I bought it. Nowadays, I am afraid of using the slider key so I just add shortcut key to access the music player and radio.

Anything new in the 8.30 firmware? Any improvements?

It's worth and reasonable especially for the 1Gb... Mine is onle 512Mb when I bought mine but now is max-ed to 4Gb

As for me, my slider key is getting a little loose already... Can this be repaired or something??

The camera is the key selling point beside the brand XpressMusic.

Ah damn!!! I just dropped my phone on a carpeted floor just now and now my camera's flash isn't working Is there anything I can do? Can the flash be repaired???

Apparently, nothing seems to be loose. But somehow or rather the flash just doesn't work until this morning when I was playing around with the camera for fun and found out the flash is back to working... Sot already???

As far as I am concern, we can't do the firmware update with the phone switched off.

Erm, I couldn't confirm about the authorized service center's not entertaining their potential customers although they hold AP phones but I certainly think that they will help you resolve the problem and it's up to you whether you wanna fix the phone with the authorized service centers. About the price, yes it's definitely a little more pricey to fix an AP phone with the authorized service center than fixing an authorized retail dealer hand set.

For AP phones, it's best to refer back to the shop you bought it from. After all your phone's warranty is from that shop you bought it from.

Added on January 27, 2009, 7:35 pmOh yes, can anyone confirm that there is a new firmware for the 5610XM? My current firmware is 8.30 and every time I try to update, the software updater tells me that my phone's firmware is up-to-date.

Normally you should refer back to the shop where you bought your handset if it's AP. They will definitely work it out for you unless they can't then only they will notify you.

It depends on the condition of the phone as well. With the current price for AP which is only RM800+ and since you said it's only 10 months, I think it can be sold at RM600+ to RM700+ depending how much your buyer wanna negotiate with you. You can check out the Garage Sales section to get more info about the current price of this phone and you do the math yourself

My software updater keeps telling my software is up-to-date which is 8.30

But I seriously think there is something not so right with the phone already. My slider key lights don't light up as usual anymore except when I use the music player or the radio

Mine flashes when the music player or the radio is in use. Other than that it doesn't. I notice of late only when ever I slide up the phone the slider key doesn't light up anymore.

That one I am aware. But anyway it's not going to make a whole of differences. Probably it only need a software update I think to get it working like normal again


Anyway, my camera's flash sot again... not working now
