Bought this monitor for a client, unfortunate sent back to RMA due to.... stand issue. The stand cannot fit due to the "legs" or pegs not aligned!

QUOTE(ahbeng2 @ Feb 13 2009, 01:54 AM) what u opionion? i think it look good Yup, it looks good.. QUOTE(evit @ Feb 13 2009, 02:09 AM) lex, have you compare the acer monitor with other brand?how does it look like? Its pretty good actually, I've always like Acer's almost pure "white" since I've also had an older Acer 17" monitor (used as work monitor) which is "paper white". The colors are very strong especially the red and green tones. Compared to my BenQ which has kinda "warmer" white and more bluish tones. And compared to Dell ones (the 19" widescreen model), the Acer colors look more vibrant than Dell's somewhat dull looking colors. Its less intense compared to a Samsung 19".. The horizontal viewing angle is kinda good too when going from left to right.. bit better than my BenQ 22", maybe its due to the shorter length/width I'm not sure. QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Feb 13 2009, 07:13 PM) many people in newegg are complaining about the flimsy stand. there's one guy saying that if u bump your table, the lcd stand only prevents it from falling forward, but not backward. The stand design is almost the same as Dell, you can see the "leg" design... Except Dell's stand is heavy. is the stand really that bad? |

QUOTE(xcen @ Feb 15 2009, 05:49 PM) So how bad exactly is the stand? How vulnerable is it from falling down and the whole thing goes 'piang'? Its not that flimsy.. This post has been edited by lex: Feb 20 2009, 07:11 PM |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Feb 20 2009, 07:15 PM) Maybe because the panel is heavy and a slight shake makes it looks flimsy? The "centre of gravity" determines its stability.. |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Feb 20 2009, 08:23 PM) Would older 4:3 20" fare worse? They are much taller. More or less the same, depends on how they design the base stand. I have an Acer AL1717, a 4:3 screen, still haven't made it fall despite the numerous knocks on the table when moving PCs around the table. |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Feb 20 2009, 09:38 PM) Possible. After, Dell doesn't make their own monitors, do they? Nope, they don't.. Their monitors come from various OEMs, including Samsung, BenQ, LG, Chimei, etc.. Hard to tell. |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Feb 20 2009, 09:59 PM) Oo Can't remember about the 20" version though (I mean that looks like the 17" one) Seen the 20" version of that. Got a plethora of inputs for that era ! S-video, VGA, DVI... |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Mar 20 2009, 07:58 AM) The V203H has no DVI, right? No idea... Some reviews shows that it does have, some doesn't. On Acer's product website the DVI is listed as "(optional)". Maybe I'll check it out one of these days.. |
