not tat hard actually.

i just remove everything from the casing then wash since alot of dust and let it dry under hot sun
next i just spray on it.
just make sure u spray from 1 side to the other and start again from the same side u started.

ie: u start from left >> right then stop then start from left >> right again.

dont left >>> right >>> left continously like this it will make the middle part have more paint then the sides

Was at Low Yat on Saturday....saw the HAF....damm it looks rugged! one idea is to spray it desert storm theme or the winter camouflage color (suddenly cannot remember wats the name for it doh.gif )

how much is it now? 4fans at the side doesnt come with it right? or comes a huge 230mm fan?

tried tinkering with sketchup....got abit of time to tinker around. I took a sample from the site on the 1st post and the stacker 810 comes closest to your HAF 932..... sorry ah my skills no good la the white like metallic and tried to make it pearl also quite susah. the inside i have tried but dont know how to go to the layering yet to color the inside coz when i hide the side casing and i color the inside, the whole thing turns black.... doh.gif

Thats the prob with white... like cars dirty must wash and clean right? so maintenance is a b*tch. have to rajin to wipe and clean the surface flex.gif

Yeap there is this clear coat you can apply to it. can make it glossy(shinny) basically something like the coating for your car to protect it from the weather. Also helps protects scratches. rclxms.gif

if the surface r not painted i just make it like scratch a little so the paint can stick to it...
but if the surface already painted u can remove them...
but im malas one so just sand it a little n make it smooth n flat...
n yaa i use sandpaper...
if got sandblaster more better...
make ur life easier...
who got sandblasting machine???

Ah no wonder... lol!

arif, check the links in my previous posts, there are steps to do it. yeap with sand paper, rough one to rid the paint then it gets finer to get the surface to be smooth

so , 1st layer after sanding the previous colour, i spray the premere? 1 layer of premere enough? and then put the colour that i want straight? about 4 layers? then clear coat? i there such thing spray paint clear coat? btw for the sand paper, the higher the grid , the higher the roughness? or i must use by stages to scrap the previous paint folowing grid by grid?

EDIT

what if i just spray paint over the original HAF932 colour? hmm.gif

I am not really sure about the price bro.
Its hard to find here in kuching.
Maybe arond KL they have it.

Yes,using a mouse sander is as same as using a mouse block, the different is,mouse sander are powered by electric and block sander are powered by own energy.

my internal casing is silver/dull gray? as i think many casings are same as well. do you need to sanding on that part? or i can just start spraying it with "automotive paints" ???

i plan to make the inside & the internal frame, black black, looks nice to go with any dark colour motherboard... ehhehe...

what do you think?

depending on where you are, i would say those bodyknocking/spray workshops for cars where they can do it for you. just need to make sure their job is good and no cut corners on your casing. if you want, you sand down the casing yourself before sending it for a spray.

self etching im not really sure laa, u can google for it...

if u done the first layer u can spray it after like 15 min to 30 min like that...
that what i doo laa...... dunno aother how... lol...
if u want to redoo u must remove ur previos work loo....
use sand paper or scrapper to take it off...
soo many work to do......

asking for suggestions, now i have 2 choices,

1. flat black painting on exterior and interior(hdd, dvd-rom, mobo holder) of the case. then i'll put white led or ccfl after that.

2. flat black painting on exterior and white on interior(hdd, dvd-rom, mobo holder). but with this matching, i think if i put white led or ccfl, the overall will not look nicer than (1.)..what you guys opinion??

btw, i prefer white led or ccfl, but if any suggestion for (2.) with different colour led, i will consider that...

i think theres only 1 type of clear only...
self etching im not really sure laa, u can google for it...

if u done the first layer u can spray it after like 15 min to 30 min like that...
that what i doo laa...... dunno aother how... lol...
if u want to redoo u must remove ur previos work loo....
use sand paper or scrapper to take it off...
soo many work to do......
*
i tot theres many types of clear coat..hehe
so now i spray it just 3-4 layer la..
thx 4 the info.. icon_rolleyes.gif

asking for suggestions, now i have 2 choices,

1. flat black painting on exterior and interior(hdd, dvd-rom, mobo holder) of the case. then i'll put white led or ccfl after that.

2. flat black painting on exterior and white on interior(hdd, dvd-rom, mobo holder). but with this matching, i think if i put white led or ccfl, the overall will not look nicer than (1.)..what you guys opinion??

btw, i prefer white led or ccfl, but if any suggestion for (2.) with different colour led, i will consider that...
*
in my opinion, flat black painting on interior is more nicer coz it will match with ur white led or ccfl.. thumbup.gif
and for exterior u can choose other color..white also nice.. nod.gif

i think most of them using spray can only.but must use 2 3 layers to avoid the layer to peel off.plus u may need clear spray as protect it.
by the way~if u not satisfy~u can sand it back~ biggrin.gif
