with that said, better support the PS3, trust me you'll understand the true feeling of becoming a TRUE gamer in the gaming industry, wanna know why? you can truly judge the game based on its TRUE price, and play the game longer to unlock everything in a game(enjoy more)..

here's my suggestion:

-Buy PS3, play slowly, enjoy the game, dont rush things, play in limited time(dont tibai till cant sleep) then you can manage your time better(study,work,eat,chat with GF) go out and live like a normal person...if boring with the same game, you can play online(its free)...then download FREE demos before buying another games(saves time, and money)

-Buy Xbox(assume u buy pirated games) play like usual, finish the game fast, then throw the RM5 dvd into dustbin, look for another game, play like theres no tomorrow(oops, there goes your study time), try to go online(ooops, you have to pay to play online) ok fine, buy another game then suddenly, u saw 3 blinking lights....OMG 3ROD....hahaha...

at least 3rrod is fixable unlike the great "yellow light of doom" on ps3.

jasper is already out, 3rrod should almost begone by now.

edit: xbox users can download demos for free.. been doin that since day 1 i got my xbox.

it's so bad until it's laughable. i heard a guy got 3ROD after using it for only 1 month.

well we all want quality and reliable consoles...

dont understand y MS make unreliable consoles these days... they make money a lot n yet take a long time to solve it...

i know jasper unit out recently (after so long)... should be a breather

RROD is hundred times more common question than YLOD on ps3 (very rare cases only) in purchasing decision these days....

Like my gamer friend in US said that xbox360 is like disposable item... console died... buy new ones... also watch out for recon units (even got its own probs)... this guy got 5 xbox, 2 ps3s at home...crazy

Still I think ps3, wii and xbox360s are fantastic machines, each with their own flaws....

Most likely MS know the problem yet they ignore it and continue to manufacture it for the sake of money. I remember sometime ago I saw the news on maxconsole that someone who work at M$ get sued after revealing the truth of M$ manufactured the 360 eventhough they know the defect rate is at around 66%(which means those new consoles r very prone to 3RROD)! That guy was brave enough to take on the sue by M$. Wondering how he is doing now.

I too, just dont understand why MS produce such a wimpy next-gen console compared to PS3 since their older Xbox is tougher and last longer than PS2. Perhaps $$$?

Well 2 xbox360s got board fried... since the launch days he's mad abt xbox360... plus an elite falcon did get rrod recently (still under warranty).... so he purchased a new one last week (cut price)...

well in the US, if u got RROD xbox360 and sent back to M$ for fix (free - no charges btw), they will send recon unit ... also if u r not satisfied n complain, sometimes they offer free games to compensate... how nice is that!

life-cycle of xbox360 is short....

with M$ deep pocket, of coz they can afford to do price cut on consoles, 3 yrs warranty, free games, free courier services etc... i dont think sony could do this...

yes, I read it somewhere that MS almost doesn't care about it already. Their loss at XBOX can be covered with only 1 or 2 quarter of hw/sw profits. That's why the problem was neglected. Maybe they just didn't want Sony to continue dominating the market?

a fren of mine got the first 1 rod on the first day of purchase.. .. returned it and refund back the $..

i got an xbox which is manufactured in 2006, and it works fine til now even with the new NXE update..don't mean to argue..it's how u play it, if u play games like no tomorrow, for sure 3ROD will come knocking..i'm a casual gamer btw..on the flip side, i'm tempted to join PS3 owners club, but have to look at budget 1st..
