Hi,

The limit on SD Ram for Wii now is 2GB.

But the recent Homebrew 0.9 claims that it now supports SDHC (theory means that you can go even beyond 512GB). It needs to be formatted as FAT32 (previously FAT16).

Has anyone tested it? Does it work? Just wanna share your success story before i go ahead and purchase SDHC.

Why would you need that much space?

To store pirated games? shakehead.gif

2GB, is plenty big, for what the Wii currently(and originally) supports.. JPGs, GIFs, some AVIs, ACC audio, some Samba de Amigo songs, some VC games, but seriously, even with all those content combined, 2GB is plenty big.

My question is, why?

Sihumchai, you think too deep.

I have several GB of photos of my family photos cumulated over the years. I originally store them on an external HDD which i connect the Wii (successfully), only to realise that the Photo Channel can't retrieve data from HDD.

To go around it, i will need to ship all the photos into the SD card, but it can't fit.. |yawn.gif(..

I've found out that the Wii is a perfect home entertainment system. With these tools, i can skip my previous goal of having a Media Centre. Thta's some money saved. |yawn.gif)

Won't it be cool? With the Wii, i could now show my friends and relatives our family photos right from the TV. |yawn.gif)

I understand that HBC isn't always piracy, sure it's great for the Wii to be able to do all those things, play DVD, watch proper AVI's which the Photo Channel can't support.

But I did want to mention that the Wii isn't the best media player out there. But whatever floats your boat. I'd thought of doing it as well, but I have a PC which can do all those better, and more.

That's all I'm saying wink.gif

Grey, there's a Photo Channel for that exact purpose sweat.gif And honestly, you'd get bored of 90% of the channels once you get used to them. It's nice and all, but you'll forget it eventually, heck, I just booted up the Mii Channel after months. This includes homebrew(possibly, unless whatever homebrew stuff you have IS actually fun). I find the DS's homebrew is much more extensive and useful.

HBCs true purpose.. well.. Let's just not discuss it shall we? Considering you all know what it can do.

Oh, and regards to the Wii's ability to watch whatever movie, isn't that piracy aswell? HDD hm?

But bah forget it, I bought the Wii to play games.
