dude.. thats a replica.. due 2 the rarity of the gt40, price of a genuine one is really really expensive.. n becoz of its history, heritage n racing pedigree, the demand for a cheaper imitation increased.. lots of replicas have been made, n some of em r really really good.. one of the really well known one is the gtd40.. it was well known becoz it was the closest u can get 2 the real thing, one of the most accurate replica of the gt40..

i was nearly fooled too when i look at the exterior of the car in the pic.. but when i see the interior, definitely a replica..

really?? wow.. if i have the money, i would definitely do it..

btw, im curious of wat type of engine's under the bonnet of that beast..

yeah, i watched that too.. in fact, he liked it even more than the new ford gt..

thats not a gt40 replica.. thats a new ford gt thats been tuned by roush..

lots of replicas have been made over the yrs, using all sorts of different engines, mostly v8s..

that im not sure.. didnt even know the guy has one.. maybe if i see some pic of it, i can tell..

TG never reviewed any gt40 replica.. they have shown a couple on the studio, but never reviewed it..

the one on FG is wat me n DtG4207 were talkin bout earlier.. thats the superformance spf gt.. n yes, it uses roush's engine.. the one tiff tested has a 480bhp 6.5L v8 engine.. but TG never reviewed it..

n i doubt very much its this one thats in the pic posted.. coz the spf gt is mostly left hand drive, n the interior is different.. besides, the exterior of the spf gt is also more similar 2 the original, which the one in the pic is not, after ive studied it more, especially at the rear..

CAV GT?? if im not mistaken, that uses a ford v8, producing around 450bhp.. wat gearbox does it have?? the audi unit??

it figures.. most of guys ur age dont know much bout the GT40.. heck even my frens who r same or older than me didnt know that the new GT is a modern version of this..

yup, stopped production sumwhere in 2007.. n yup, it was a limited edition car, made 2 celebrate ford's 100th anniversary..

huh?? various states of tune n engines?? afaik, it only had that 5.4L 550bhp supercharged v8 in its entire 3yrs production lifespan.. well, except 4 the gtx1 that is..

nope.. if its a replica, its a replica of the classic GT40, not the new GT..

yup.. thats where it got its name, GT40..

the new GT actually is 3 inches more, 43 inches top 2 bottom.. becoz of that, in its early production stages, they thought bout calling it the GT43 since they cant use the GT40 name..

dude, it is a scuderia.. u can see the scuderia shape of the of front bumper..

ford's v8 2 be precise.. earlier models uses a 5.8L v8, than later was replaced by a 5.0L iianm..

the car was famously known for its really crappy built quality, it was sickeningly unreliable, not 2 mention lots of flaws too..

n yeah, its also very well known coz of that elvis story

at 1st, i thought it was some kinda ferrari.. as we all know, ferrari's r famously known 4 their 2 round tail lamps.. but after doin some digging around, cant think of a single ferrari that has that kinda arrangement..

then, i thought it was the gtr.. coz the skyline gtr n the gtr has that 2 round tail lamps also.. but still, their designs r not like those..

then, i thought it was the old aston vantage.. but also, it doesnt look like that..

i even thought it was a lotus elise's at one point

then when u mentioned its the zonda, i was like "yeah hor.. y didnt i think of that"

sumthin bout the paint of that scuderia makes it looks absolutely stunning!!

looks like a significant number of people r gettin the scuderia here.. 2 think that at times like this.. looks like the super rich in malaysia stays super rich even at the event of our global credit crunch

that isnt a GT2.. its a 996 turbo..

big fan of the bora here 2 my mind, the most user friendly italian supercar of the 70s..

one of the reason i like it so much is that it came out at a time where italy is pouring wit delicious supercars, but still it managed 2 make a significant impact.. sure it does not have the looks of the countach, or the performance of the 308, n compared 2 those 2, its performance isnt sumthin 2 shout about.. yet, it still is a definitive italian thoroughbred supercar..

n the funny part is, its not even pure italian it was made during the time maserati was owned by citroen.. so a lot of citroen's stuff was underneath the bora

never seen a scuderia in black b4.. although not as nice in yellow or red, it still is hot!!

btw, thats an elise.. the exige has a fixed roof..

that LP560 is so damn cun!! white paint wit black wheels, the perfect combination!! if im gettin one, id certainly get that exact combination..

yup.. citroen acquired maserati in the late 1960s.. so they wanted 2 make a 2 seater mid engined supercar 2 rival against ferrari's n lambo's.. the bora is wat resulted.. becoz of this, a lot of citroen's stuff is being used in the bora, brakes, steering, clutch etc.. 2 my mind, wat makes the bora truly unique at that time was its user friendliness.. it had a posh interior, seats n interior wrapped in leather, good sound proofing, it even had double glazing.. ferrari's n lambo's at that time were making, quite literally, undriveable cars.. the countach 4 instance, its a great car 2 look at, but a pain in the ass 2 drive.. yes, compared 2 the 308 n countach, the bora's performance is pathetic.. this is due 2 all of the luxuriness of it, making it heavy if compared 2 its rivals.. as a result, it wasnt very successful..
